Just in: Second term examinations have kicked off today officially

Second term examinations for the academic year 2026 have officially started today Wednesday 19th August 2026 at Sacred Heart Of Jesus Comboni Secondary School.

Today is the beginning of the exams and shall mark the end of the second term for the academic year by the end of exams. Students are encouraged to avoid malpractices during the exams and focus on what they have in mind.

Meet Augustino Akech Ajang, the gateman, you will see Akechdit every morning at the gate of Sacred Heart of Jesus Comboni School, before you enter.

Akech is more than a gateman at Sacred Heart. He is also watching over the future leaders of this country to make sure they are safe inside the compound. Every morning he wakes up early and takes his place. No one can enter without his permission.

Yes, not every child who passes him will remember him. But as we say, “He who raises human beings is not like one who raises animals,” Akechdit may stand at the gate but his work reaches far beyond it.
