BACK TO LEARNING CAMPAIGN IN AWEIL WEST COUNTY.

Friday 6th October 2023 (Aweil West County) the Education Minister of NBGS Hon Santino Bol Akok has launched Back to Learning Campaign in Aweil West County under the theme: "Education for Households and Community Transformation".

The Minister was accompanied by Director General in the State Ministry of Education Mr. Santino Bol Akot, Acting chairperson of service Cluster committee in the State Legislative Assembly NBGS, Directors, Staff among others.

The event was characterised with speeches and punctuated with cultural dances, poems and singing of songs which conveyed messages that encourage parents to send their children to school.
It was attended by the former deputy Governor of NBGS Hon. Salva Chol Ayat, County Education Director, Ex-chiefs, parents, teachers and learners.

In his remarks, Hon. Santino Bol Akok appreciated the National Minister of General Education and Instruction Hon. Awut Deng Achuil for her efforts in supporting the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction. He also extended his gratitudes to the Education Partners including Global Partnership for Education (GPE), Unicef and CEDS for tirelessly supporting the Education in the State.

Hon Minister added that the Back to Learning initiative was embarked to target communities from County, Payams, and Boma levels, in sensitizing parents to providing learning opportunities for their children currently not attending schools.

The Minister urged learners to study hard to achieve their dreams which will contribute to the development of our country. Meanwhile, he encouraged primary eight(8) and form four(4) candidates to equip themselves for the upcoming unified exams.

In his conclusion, Hon Santino Bol Akok appreciated H.E. Tong Akeen Ngor, Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, for entrusting him the responsibility for overseeing education in the State. The Minister delivered greeting from H.E. the Governor Tong Akeen Ngor to the communities of Aweil West County.

Wednesday, 4th October 2023, Aweil-H.E Tong Akeen Ngor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State launched Education Back to learning Campaign in Aweil Freedom Square.
The occasion was attended by the State Advisors, Minsters, MPs, Un Agencies, NGOs, Chiefs, Parents and the learners. The turn-out was massive and the gaint partners like UNICEF took the lead of providing girl child with hygiene kits which are necessities to them...

THE STATE MINISTRY OF GENERAL EDUCATION AND INSTRUCTION OF NORTHERN BAHR EL GHAZAL STATE LAUNCHED BACK TO LEARNING CAMPAIGN IN GOKMACHAR OF AWEIL NORTH COUNTY.

On Wednesday 27th of September 2023, the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State had extended Back to learning Campaign in Gokmachar of Aweil North County under the theme: "Education for Household and Community Transformation".

The event was organized by the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction in collaboration with Unicef and other Education Partners in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. Back to Learning Campaign will cover five Counties plus Aweil Municipality.

Back to Learning Campaign was led by the State Minister of General Education and Instruction Hon. Santino Bol Akok, Acting Director General Peter Deng Deng, Education Directors, Inspectors among others.

The event was attended by the Commissioner of Aweil North County Hon. Kiir Chan Wol, Hon MPs, County Education Director, Ex-chiefs, teachers, learners, parents and other Stakeholders.

In his remarks, Hon. Santino Bol Akok extended special thanks to the County Commissioner Hon. Kiir Chan Wol, the County Education Director, Ex-chiefs, teachers and the learners for their warmly reception.

Hon. Minister expressed his gratitude to Hon. Awut Deng Achuil, the National Minister of General Education and Instruction, for her outstanding support in enhancing the educational system nationwide and particularly in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Speaking during the occasion, the Minister also recognized the significant efforts made by the Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Government, led by H.E. Governor Tong Akeen Ngor, in supporting and improving education in the State.
Hon. Bol Akok conveyed a special greetings from H.E Governor Tong Akeen Ngor to the people of Aweil North County.

Furthermore, Hon. Santino Bol Akok urged the parents to send their children to schools for learning. He strongly encouraged teachers to provide their services to the learners and keep positive relationships with the parents in order to support the Back to Learning mobilization in the County.

Lastly; Minister Bol Akok assured the parents and the teachers in Aweil North County that the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction will work harder to create a conducive environment for learning in the State in order to encourage the children and adults to go to schools for studies.
He further stated that, State Ministry of Education will provide clean drinking water to some of schools lacking water in Aweil North County.

The concerned minister of General Education and Instruction Hon. Santino Bol Akok and the Deputy Governor Tong Chol Ayat yesterday officially launched the opening of SSNEC for primary eight in different schools within the state headquarters(Aweil-NBGs) .... They encouraged candidates to get rid of fear and be keen enough whenever they are tackling questions during examination.It was actually one of the best inspirational speak which articulate hope for success to candidates undertaking exams.
Sometimes charismatic leaders like Hon. Minister are rare to be found but we as fraternity of education we thank almighty father creator of universe for giving us altruistic and extrovert person who care about the wellbeing of his people at large... As he winded up his speak, he, "wished the candidates success and good luck" .

On Monday 13th February, 2023, the unified exams of primary eight certificates has kicked-off across Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. The bell was rang by the Acting Governor H.E Tong Lual Ayat at Salam Girls Modern Primary School. The ringing of the bell was attended by State police Commissioner Philip Madut, Director General for AES-Juba, Director General in the State Ministry of education Mr. Santino Bol Akot Nguel, directors, education director for Aweil Town Manicipality among others.

In his remarks at Salam Girls Modern Primary School during the bell's ringing, Hon. Santino Bol Akok, the State Minister of General Education and Instruction, urged the primary eight candidates apparently sitting in 68 centers across Northern Bahr el Ghazal State to have faith in themselves and in God in order to succeed in the long-awaited unified exams.

Hon. Santino Bol Akok says a total of 5,862 candidates have registered for the 2022-2023 academic year exams in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. They include 3067 females and 2795 males.

He stated that Northern Bahr el Ghazal State registered 1,777 for the academic year exams of primary eight certificates in 2021-2022 compare to 5,862 candidates for the academic year exams of 2022-2023.

He further explained that the number of candidates registered for the 2022-2023 increased massively as a result of back to learning campaign carried out by the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction in collaboration with education developmental partners.

Hon. Santino Bol Akok applauded and acknowledged the incredible efforts executed by Hon Awut Deng Achuil the National Minister of General Education and Instruction and chairperson of National Examinations Council (NEC) for bringing exams on time. He assured the public that the teachers, invigilators and Security Operatives will maintain the integrity of the exams across Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
He extended his wishes to all the candidates of primary eight examinations a good luck wherever they are taking their exams across Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Speaking on behalf of the Northern Bahr El Ghazal State government, H.E. Tong Lual Ayat, the acting governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, thanked Hon. Awut Deng Achuil, the national minister of general education and instruction, and Hon. Santino Bol Akok, the state minister of education, for their tireless efforts to end illiteracy in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State and South Sudan as whole.
He urged the parents across Northern Bahr el Ghazal State to allow their children to go to school.

As national examination for primary school(SSNEC) started this morning, I was privileged to cheered up candidates at the Western side(Aweil West-mbi)... Wednesday 11th of January 2023,

The two days workshop, which was hosted by the Ministry of General Education and Instruction of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, has been closed today by Mr. Santino Bol Akot Nguel, the Director General of State Ministry of General Education and Instruction.

The purpose of workshop is to provide county education directors and directors of other departments in the state ministry of general education and instruction with managerial abilities so that they can handle the administrative needs of their respective departments.

Before the closing of session, the representative of county education directors expressed their sincere gratitude to State Minister of General Education and Instruction Hon. Santino Bol Akok Anei and Mr. D/G Santino Bol Akot Nguel for their initiative to equip directors with managerial skills.

Finally, the Director General, Mr. Santino Bol Akot, extended his gratitude to all the attendees who traveled from different counties of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State in order to take part in this significant management session.

Tuesday 3rd of January 2023

Hon Santino Bol Akok, Minister of General Education and Instruction of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State inspects the renovation of Yargot Primary School under the Yargot payam of Aweil East County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. Yargot Primary School was renovated by Jak Yar Company. The minister was accompanied by Director General of the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction, Mr. Santino Bol Akot among other directors.

During his inspection, Hon Santino Bol Akok expressed his gratitude to the Manager of Jak Yar Company for successfully complete the renovation of Yargot Primary School in Yargot payam of Aweil East County. He urged the community of Yargot to be prepared for the opening ceremony of Yargot Primary School, which will take place at a later date within this month.

He added that under the able leadership of the Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, Hon Tong Akeen Ngor, the State Ministry of General Education and Instruction of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State has embarked providing a suitable environment whereby many schools are renovated.
Hon Santino Bol Akok extended special greetings from Hon Tong Akeen Ngor the Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.

Finally, Hon Santino Bol Akok applauded and thanked Hon Awut Deng Achuil, national minister of general education and instruction, for her commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
