Homemade Pasta Ingredients: - 12 oz penne pasta - 2 tbsp olive oil - 1 onion, diced - 3 cloves garlic, minced - 8 oz mushrooms, sliced - 1 1/2 cups heavy cream - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 tsp dried thyme - 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional) - Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. 3. Add the garlic and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are softened. 4. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. 5. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly. 6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. 20/06/2024
