Tababaradaani waxaa ka mid ahaa rakibidda hababka waraabka casriga ah, barashada aasaaska nursery-ga (shubka), aqoonsiga astaamaha cudurrada dhirta iyo cayayaanka waxyeellada u geysta dalagyada, iyo farsamooyinka wax-soo-saarka qudaarta ee lagu beero aqalka dhirta lagu koriyo (greenhouse).

Guud ahaan, tababaradaan joogtada ah ee ay helaan ardayda Faculty of Agriculture waxay qeyb ka yihiin dadaallada 𝐉𝐚𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚 Hormuud ee lagu xoojinayo aqoontooda iyo xirfadahooda wax-ku-oolka ah ee la xiriira cilmiga beeraha, isla markaana kor loogu qaadayo diyaar garowgooda si ay u daboolaan baahiyaha suuqa shaqada, ayna si wax ku ool ah uga qayb qaataan horumarinta waaxda beeraha ee dalka.

Our third-year students of the Faculty of Agriculture participated in a series of practical training sessions at 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐮𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦, which is located at Darul Hikmah Campus, aimed at strengthening their technical knowledge and professional skills in agricultural sciences.

The training covered key areas including the installation of modern irrigation systems, the fundamental principles of plant nurseries (seedling production), identification of symptoms of plant diseases and insect pests that damage crops, as well as vegetable production techniques in greenhouse cultivation.

Overall, these continuous practical training activities provided to students of the Faculty of Agriculture are part of Hormuud University’𝐬 efforts to enhance their practical knowledge and skills in agricultural sciences. They also aim to improve students’ readiness to meet the demands of the job market and enable them to effectively contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the country.

Gudoomiyaha ayaa bogaadiyey dadaalka hawlwadeenada xarunta iyo kaalinta ay ka qaadanayaan horumarinta cilmi-baarista, tababarada ardayda, iyo wax-soo-saarka beeraha.

The Vice-Chancellor of Hormuud University, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐢 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐞, took a working visit to 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐮𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 at 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor received a comprehensive briefing on the farm’s ongoing activities and plans, including student practical training, agricultural research initiatives, and the production of various crops cultivated at the farm. He commended the dedication of the farm’s staff and their significant contribution to advancing agricultural research, strengthening hands-on student training, and enhancing agricultural productivity.

The activities and initiatives undertaken by the 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐮𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 reflect the University’s continued commitment to supporting national agricultural development and promoting sustainable solutions to food security challenges in Somalia.

Ardayda ka tirsan Faculty of Agriculture ee 𝐉𝐚𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚 Hormuud ayaa khibrad gacan-ku-barasho ah (practical training) ku qaatay xarunta Gaalooge Agro Business Enterprise. Tababarkan ayaa qayb ka ahaa dadaallada lagu xoojinayo aqoonta iyo xirfadaha farsamo ee ardayda, iyadoo la siinayo fursado ay si toos ah ugu arkaan uguna fahmaan hababka casriga ah ee beeraha.

Booqashadan ayaa ardayda siisay fursad ay si dhab ah ugu bartaan noocyada kala duwan ee cagafyada, qalabka beeraha lagu falo, qalabka cawska lagu jaro, iyo hababka saxda ah ee qalabka loogu xiro loogana hawlgeliyo cagafyada.

Khibraddan gacan-ku-barashada ah ayaa ardayda ka caawisay inay isku xiraan aqoonta ay fasalka ku bartaan iyo hababka shaqo ee dhabta ah ee adeegsiga qalabka beeraha. Sidoo kale, waxay fursad u heleen inay horumariyaan xirfadahooda farsamo, fahamkooda ku saabsan mashiinnada beeraha, iyo u diyaargarowgooda shaqooyinka mustaqbalka ee la xiriira horumarinta wax-soo-saarka beeraha.

𝐉𝐚𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚 Hormuud waxay sii waddaa dhiirrigelinta waxbarashada ku saleysan khibradda iyo tababarrada goobaha shaqada, si loo soo saaro aqoonyahanno leh xirfado la jaanqaadi kara baahiyaha isbeddelaya ee suuqa shaqada iyo horumarka waaxaha wax-soo-saarka dalka.

Students from the Faculty of Agriculture at Hormuud University participated in a hands-on practical training program at Gaalooge Agro Business Enterprise. This training formed part of the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ technical competencies and practical knowledge by providing direct exposure to modern agricultural practices and technologies.

The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to gain practical insights into various agricultural tractors and their implements, agricultural tillage equipment, grass-cutting machinery, and the proper procedures for attaching and operating agricultural implements. Through direct observation and interaction with agricultural machinery, students developed a deeper understanding of the technologies and operational systems used in contemporary farming.

This experiential learning opportunity enabled students to connect theoretical concepts acquired in the classroom with real-world agricultural applications. It also enhanced their technical skills, broadened their understanding of modern agricultural machinery, and strengthened their preparedness for future careers in agricultural production, mechanization, and sustainable farming practices.

Kulankan ayaa diiradda lagu saaray nidaamyada cuntada u adkaysata isbeddelka cimilada, waddooyinka dhaqaale ee lagu xaqiijin karo sugnaanta cuntada, iyo xalalka waara ee ku habboon gobollada abaaraha iyo dhulalka qalalan (semi-arid regions). 𝐉𝐚𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚 Hormuud waxaa ka go’an horumarinta aqoonta iyo kor u qaadidda wacyiga ardaydeeda, iyadoo abuuraysa waayo-aragnimooyin waxbarasho oo macno leh kana baxsan fasalka.

A guest lecture titled “𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬: 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢-𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬” was organized by HUSAC, specifically for students of the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 at Hormuud University, and was held at the 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬. The lecture was delivered by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐝 𝐘𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧, PhD Candidate in Agricultural Economics.

The session focused on climate-resilient food systems, economic strategies to enhance food security, and sustainable solutions tailored to semi-arid regions. Hormuud University remains committed to advancing knowledge and raising awareness among its students by creating meaningful academic experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
