🌍 Protecting Trees Is Protecting Somalia
During the reported illegal eviction operations on government land, an estimated 5,000–10,000 trees may have been cut down. Each lost tree means less shade, cleaner air, stronger soil, and protection against climate change.
SERI calls for an urgent independent assessment, accountability for the damage, and immediate restoration using native trees.
Development must not come at the cost of our environment.
