Meet our keynote speaker Prof. Mohamed Ali Sh. Abdi an Agricultural expert and director of ASAL Institute.
Prof. Mohamed is a recognized Agricultural Expert. His work over more than 30 years in agriculture development from training delivery to managerial positions in different agricultural institutions.

He started his career in 1989 as a Researcher at the Central Agricultural Research Station (CARS) at Afgoye of The Somali Republic Ministry of Agriculture. From 1996 – 2015 he worked with different organizations (UNDP, FAO, CEFA, INTERSOS AND ICIPE) From 2013-2016 he served as a lecturer at some of Mogadishu Universities. From 2016-2020 he became Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Benadir University in Mogadishu. From 2020 to date he is the Director of Asal Institute of Agriculture (AIA), Mogadishu, Somalia
