Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
ﺑﺴﻢ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺣﻴﻢ
All praise is due to Allah (swt), and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger (saw).
Allah (swt) said:
ﻳﺎ ﺃﻳﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﺁﻣﻨﻮﺍ ﻛﺘﺐ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﺎﻡ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻛﺘﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﻣﻦ ﻗﺒﻠﻜﻢ ﻟﻌﻠﻜﻢ ﺗﺘﻘﻮﻥ
“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard (against evil)" [TMQ 2:183].
And he also said:
ﺷﻬﺮ ﺭﻣﻀﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﺃﻧﺰﻝ ﻓﻴﻪ ﺍﻟﻘﺮﺁﻥ ﻫﺪﻯً ﻟﻠﻨﺎﺱ ﻭﺑﻴﻨﺎﺕٍ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻬﺪﻯ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﺮﻗﺎﻥ ﻓﻤﻦ ﺷﻬﺪ ﻣﻨﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﺸﻬﺮ ﻓﻠﻴﺼﻤﻪ
“The month of Ramadhan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So, whoever of you is present at that month let him fast the month” [TMQ 2:185].
Dear Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe,
Ramadhan 2021 has finally arrived casting its shadow of goodness and blessing over us.
It is the month distinguished by Allah (SWT) from all other months, as he packed it full of compassion, overflowing with the greatest rewards.
Ramadhan is a month in which its beginning is a mercy, its middle is forgiveness and its end is a release from the hellfire.
Allah (SWT) has made this month for him specifically, where he rewards whomsoever He wishes without retribution, as Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said in a hadith qudsi:
ﻛﻞ ﻋﻤﻞ ﺍﺑﻦ ﺁﺩﻡ ﻟﻪ ﺇﻻ ﺍﻟﺼﻮﻡ ﻓﺈﻧﻪ ﻟﻲ ﻭﺃﻧﺎ ﺃﺟﺰﻱ ﺑﻪ
“Allah says, ‘All the deeds of Adam's son are for him, except fasting which is for me, and I will give the reward for it.’”
The month of Ramadhan is a remarkable month throughout the history of Islam, a month in which the Qur’an was revealed, and many victories and conquests have taken place.
Ramadhan is a month of work, diligence and persistence as well as a month of worship, patience and Jihad.
During the month of Ramadhan, Muslims across the globe would compete in the good deeds, as it is a time where rewards and deeds are doubled.
May Allah (SWT) accept our deeds
