Announcement of Auditions for the 2025 Mr. & Miss UniMak Pageant

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC), through the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, is pleased to announce the auditions for the 2025 Mr. & Miss UniMak Pageant. This event marks the start of one of UniMak’s most prestigious and anticipated annual competitions, offering students a platform to showcase their confidence, leadership, creativity, and cultural expression.

The auditions will take place on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the UniMak Auditorium, with an entrance fee of NLe 30.00. All aspiring contestants, both male and female, are encouraged to step forward and take advantage of this opportunity to display talent, personality, and represent our campus.

The SRC invites the entire UniMak community, students, staff, alumni, and friends, to support this initiative by encouraging interested students, spreading the word, and attending the auditions. Mr. & Miss UniMak is more than just a pageant; it is a celebration of identity, discipline, culture, and youth empowerment. Your support is important for ensuring the continued success and growth of this treasured tradition.

Subject: Grand Prize Unveiled for Mr. & Miss UniMak 2025

The Students’ Representative Council, through the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, is pleased to issue this follow-up announcement regarding the Mr. & Miss UniMak 2025 Pageant. As preparations intensify for this year’s event, we are excited to officially unveil the Grand Prize details, remind the student body of the registration deadline, and confirm the commencement date for this year’s pageant under the inspiring theme *“Empowerment Beyond the Crown.”*

In line with our commitment to promote growth and long-term empowerment, the SRC has developed a prize package that extends far beyond the traditional expectations of a pageant. The Grand Prize stands at *Le 100,000.00*, complemented by a major empowerment package. The Mister UniMak Winner will receive a brand new motorbike, *Le 20,000*, and additional empowerment support, while the Miss UniMak Winner will earn *Le 60,000* along with other benefits tailored to enhance their personal development and future opportunities.

These empowerment packages contain useful and practical items intended to improve daily living and productivity, supporting our belief that true empowerment extends beyond titles, crowns, or the pageant stage. Our aim is to ensure that the winners walk away with tools, resources, and support systems capable of making a lasting impact on their lives.

The pageant is scheduled for *13th December 2025*, and registration officially closes on *23rd November 2025*. The SRC encourages all interested students to complete their registration and take advantage of this transformative experience.

Subject: Mohamed Omodu Kamara to inspire 2025 Dinner and Award Night Attendees

Mr. Kamara is a well-respected philanthropist and a prominent politician representing the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party. Public Lecture Series Featuring Dr. Fatima Maada Bio

The Students’ Representative Council, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is honored to announce the upcoming Public Lecture Series featuring Her Excellency, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone. This significant event is set to take place on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the University Auditorium, Fatima Campus.

UniMak's SRC Hosts First-Ever Alumni Awards Dinner Alongside Annual Excellence & Social Awards

The University of Makeni's Students’ Representative Council (SRC), through its Ministry of Alumni Relations, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Academic Affairs, proudly announces the Annual Dinner & Awards Night, scheduled for Friday, November 21st, 2025, at the University's Auditorium, Fatima Campus.

The 2025 Dinner & Awards Night edition marks a historic milestone, as for the very first time, the SRC will host the 50 Most Influential Alumni Awards, recognizing distinguished graduates who continue to make outstanding contributions across diverse professional and social sectors.

Alongside this historic edition, the event will also feature its traditional Academic Excellence Awards (Brains of UniMak), honoring students who embody brilliance and dedication in their academic journey, as well as the Social Awards, which highlight individuals and groups whose leadership, creativity, and service have positively influenced campus life and the wider community.

The inclusion of the maiden Alumni Awards transforms this annual event into a true platform of legacy. It not only recognizes current student achievers but also celebrates UniMak’s alumni community, role models who embody the values of leadership, service, excellence, and continue to make an impact locally and globally.

The evening will open with a glamorous red-carpet reception at 7:00 PM, creating an elegant atmosphere of style, networking, and entertainment. It will be a night of pride, reflection, and motivation, bridging UniMak’s past, present, and future.
