Today, our department of Engineering continues to experience high in demand practical application of classroom knowledge to life by taking on a real-world task- surveying a 100- meter stretch of road from the university entrance to the main gate using a dumpy level.
This exercise will allow them to create a road profile (cross-section) and determine the formation level, essential for calculating the depth of cut or fill needed for future construction. What's more exciting is watching our second year students using Excel and MATLAB to draw the road profile. At the university of lunsar, we are redefining engineering education.
This re-affirms the university’s commitment in training students that will be able to compete not just locally, but internationally in a highly competitive and diverse work environment that demands practical application of skills.
