Today, in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education - District Office and Lewi Learn, the Nyapui Secondary School of Excellence hosted a one-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop for its teaching staff.

The workshop was designed to strengthen quality instruction, professional practice, and safe learning environments that directly contribute to improved student outcomes.

Training sessions focused on key areas, including:
📘School Improvement Planning
📘Effective Record Keeping and Forecasting
📘Classroom Teaching: Scheme of Work, Lesson Planning, and Lesson Notes
📘Professional Ethics and Safeguarding

Through practical exercises, role-plays, classroom management simulations, assessment scenarios, and group discussions, teachers actively engaged in peer learning and knowledge-sharing, building a stronger foundation for continuous growth.

As the 2025/2026 academic year begins in full, this CPD session offers valuable guidance on effective lesson delivery, attendance management for both teachers and students, and the promotion of safe, inclusive, and supportive learning spaces.

As the academic year officially comes to a close, Nyapui Secondary School of Excellence successfully convened its End-of-Year Community-Teachers Association (CTA) and Staff Meetings. These are two important forums that provide opportunities for reflection, evaluation, and forward planning for continued success.

Although held separately, the Staff Meeting brought together all teaching and non-teaching personnel to critically assess the year’s activities. Discussions focused on academic delivery, student assessments, mentoring and coaching practices, boarding home monitoring and management, and overall student performance.

The CTA Meeting provided a valuable opportunity for direct engagement between parents, guardians, and the school administration including both management and teaching staff. It served as a platform to reflect on the school’s achievements, address areas for growth, and strengthen the collaborative relationship between home and school, a vital pillar for fostering a supportive learning environment.

A key highlight was the restructuring of the CTA leadership, with a new executive team elected to guide future partnership efforts.

Conclusively, these meetings offered meaningful insights and laid a strong foundation for improved planning, coordination, and stakeholder alignment as the school prepares for the next academic year.
