The Deputy National Chairman of the Sierra Leone Peopleโs Party (SLPP), Commissioner Robert Kondema Kargbo, who is also a proud former student of the Methodist Boys High school (MBHS), joined the Ex-Pupils and the entire school in celebrating the schoolโs 152nd Annual Anniversary.
The event also marked the turning of the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern multipurpose school hall, a major milestone aimed at improving the schoolโs infrastructure and strengthening both academic and extracurricular excellence.
In a remarkable show of commitment to his alma mater, Commissioner Robert Kondema Kargbo made a generous donation in support of the construction project. The gesture was warmly appreciated by the school authorities and the Old Boys, who described it as timely, impactful, and a true symbol of Old Boy solidarity.
He further reaffirmed his support for education and community development, emphasizing that investing in schools remains key to building a stronger and more progressive Sierra Leone.

From the Archives, A Proud Moment in Our History
The story of Wesley Boys High School, now known as Methodist Boys High School, is deeply rooted in excellence and tradition. One of the most remarkable moments in our history was the very first school marching procession an event that beautifully reflected the discipline, unity, and pride of our students, while also setting the pace for what would become a national tradition in Sierra Leone.
This was not just a simple march it was the beginning of something bigger. It showed what a school could represent beyond academics: identity, structure, and a strong sense of purpose.
Over the years, the school continued to lead by example introducing key traditions and systems that helped shape the standard of education in the country. From establishing a strong school identity to promoting organized ceremonies and extracurricular life, the impact has been lasting and meaningful.
Today, that same spirit lives on. Methodist Boys High School continues to stand for discipline, resilience, and quiet excellence. It is a legacy that speaks for itself not through noise, but through impact.
