Today we had an incredible program as I am Reflecting on the Key Lessons from Our Inspiring Speakers 🎓
we carry with us invaluable wisdom shared by remarkable leaders who took the time to invest in our growth. Here’s what we learned:
Fiona Ngima reminded us that success begins with intentionality. Be deliberate about your goals, show up wholeheartedly for others, and never underestimate the power of education as a foundation for everything you aspire to achieve.
Mahawa Kamara encouraged us to embrace exploration and step boldly into the unknown. Her message was clear: give your time to what truly matters, do the work consistently, and release the fear of imperfection — because you don’t need to have everything figured out to get started. Patience is part of the journey.
Davida Spaine solomon gave us an honest look into the challenges of the journalism field. Her own story — beginning with a Diploma in Journalism and discovering her true passion through an internship — was a powerful reminder of how transformative hands-on experience can be. For anyone starting out, internships are not optional; they are essential.
Mr. Summah, drawing from his experience in the petroleum industry, delivered one of the most grounding messages of the program: start small. You don’t need a grand entrance to build a great career. Begin where you are, gain practical knowledge along the way, and let your growth speak for itself.
To our speakers — thank you for your openness, your wisdom, and your time. To my our participants — let’s take these lessons and turn them into action.
The program may be over, but the learning never stops. 💡
