The Power of the Brown Academic Shoe
I still remember the day I was preparing to graduate with my second degree.
At first, I wanted to wear a stylish pair of Air Force or Air Max creps, something modern and youthful. My friends encouraged me to go for a more classic look instead.
On my way back from graduation rehearsal, I came across one of the most beautiful brown shoes I had ever seen, an Italian brand that perfectly matched my brown tie and the brown design on my Limkokwing academic gown. Out of curiosity, I did a little research and discovered that brown symbolizes maturity, discipline, and grounded confidence.
On my graduation day, as I stood ready to receive my fourth professional university and college qualification in Professional Communication, with a focus on Corporate Communication, Marketing, and Advertising, the very areas that taught me how to communicate effectively, manage campaigns, craft messages, and build brand impact in professional settings, I felt an unusual sense of calm confidence. That brown shoe wasn’t just part of my outfit; it represented growth, wisdom, and the journey that had shaped me.
Today, as I continue my studies in Information Technology (online) and pursue my MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM-USL), I still look back on that brown shoe as a stepping stone to greater achievements.
It taught me that success is not only about looking creative or trendy, but about choosing character over comfort, and confidence over crowd approval.
The smile in that graduation picture said it all, it was the smile of a man stepping into purpose, one brown shoe at a time.

Currencies of Success: What Every Entrepreneur Must Invest In
When we think of wealth, most of us immediately picture money. But the truth is, the most powerful currencies in life and business are intangible things you can’t hold in your hand but can create massive impact when invested wisely.
Here’s a guide to the top currencies every entrepreneur and leader should know:
1. Relationships
Connections with mentors, partners, employees, and clients are invaluable. Every opportunity starts with the right connection.
2. Reputation
Your credibility and character are your business’s foundation. People do business with those they trust.
3. Time
Time is finite. How you spend it determines your productivity, growth, and ultimate success.
4. Knowledge & Skills
Continuous learning and honing your abilities ensure you stay relevant and competitive.
5. Attention & Focus
Focused action drives results. Where your attention goes, energy flows.
6. Energy
Your physical, mental, and emotional energy is a resource. Invest it in what produces results.
7. Trust
Trust opens doors and builds loyalty. Protect it as you would money.
8. Influence
The ability to inspire and persuade others multiplies your impact.
9. Ideas & Creativity
Innovative thinking is a currency that can be turned into products, services, and solutions.
10. Integrity
Consistency in values and ethics builds long-term credibility and legacy.
11. Emotional Intelligence
Understanding and managing emotions—yours and others’—creates stronger teams and better decisions.
12. Persistence & Grit
The courage to keep going despite challenges ensures you outlast competition.
13. Vision
Clarity of purpose guides decision-making and inspires others to join your journey.
14. Adaptability
Being able to pivot in a changing environment protects your business and opens new opportunities.
15. Faith & Belief
Confidence in yourself, your purpose, or higher guidance drives action and attracts resources.
Why This Matters
All of these currencies are investable. The more you invest in them, the higher your returns, not just in money, but in influence, opportunities, and legacy. Unlike cash, these currencies compound over time, creating long-term wealth and impact.
Takeaway: Money is important, but it is rarely the starting point.
Build your relationships, reputation, knowledge, and influence first, money will follow.

Understanding Generations: God’s Hand in Every Era
At We Reign Creativity and Innovation School, we recognize that God shapes every generation with unique gifts, experiences, and purposes.
Understanding the traits and callings of each generation helps us lead with wisdom, connect with others in love, and steward our God-given creativity for His glory.
The Greatest Generation (G.I. Generation) – Born 1901–1927
Known for resilience, faithfulness, and sacrifice, they lived through wars and economic hardship. Like Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 41), they demonstrated perseverance and wisdom in challenging times.
The Silent Generation – Born 1928–1945
Disciplined, hardworking, and humble, they were shaped by post-war rebuilding. Their steadfastness reflects Psalm 112:6: “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.”
Baby Boomers – Born 1946–1964
Born during social transformation, they championed growth and change. Their passion for community mirrors Nehemiah 2:17, rebuilding and restoring what had been broken.
Generation X (Gen X) – Born 1965–1980
Independent, adaptable, and bridging old and new, they reflect Proverbs 3:5-6, trusting God’s guidance while navigating uncharted paths.
Millennials (Gen Y) – Born 1981–1996
Innovative, tech-savvy, and purpose-driven, they embody 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, using diverse gifts to serve God and others in a rapidly changing world.
Generation Z (Gen Z) – Born 1997–2012
Digital natives with global awareness, they are called to be “salt and light” (Matthew 5:13-16) in the online and real world, influencing culture for God’s kingdom.
Generation Alpha (Gen α) – Born 2013–2025
Children growing up in a fully digital age, they have opportunities to embrace God’s creativity from an early age. As Jesus welcomed the little children (Mark 10:14), we celebrate their potential to shape a generation for Christ.
Generation Beta (Gen β) – Born 2026–2039 (projected)
Shaped by advanced technology and global challenges, they will inherit both opportunities and responsibilities. Like Daniel (Daniel 1:17), they can rise in wisdom, knowledge, and discernment to fulfill God’s plans.
Each generation carries a divine purpose. At We Reign Creativity and Innovation School, we are committed to raising leaders and innovators who will glorify God, serve humanity, and leave a lasting legacy for His kingdom.
