I’m excited to introduce Ibrahim Conteh (also known as Julius). You might remember back in 1999, at the Congo Town Municipal School field—often called the School Yard—when the Congotong Cultural Ambassadors staged a play titled Leh We Nor Blame the Gods Dem, a Krio adaptation of Ola Rotimi’s Gods Are Not to Blame. Ibrahim Conteh played the role of Alaka, the son of Odindira, Ejejuyemoja.
Today, Ibrahim is the Deputy Head of the Electrical Section at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. I’m incredibly proud of his accomplishments and thrilled to see him among the successful young men who were once under my guidance.
