The Student’s Representative Council (SRC) collaborated with Rokel Commerical Bank for the Student leadership retreat in order to capacitate student. The keynote speakers were Hon. Dennis Sesay- Minister of Works and Public Assets, Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin- Managing Director of Rokel commercial Bank and Mrs Hawa Sally Samai- Executive Secretary Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion.

It was an absolute delight to have Umaru Fofana as a Speaker at the SRC Leadership Retreat. He emphasized the need of Practice to master the Art of Public Speaking. He also emphasized that the Fear of God, integrity and empathy should be the guiding compass in leadership

It was an absolute pleasure to have Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Technical and Higher Education Hon. Sarjoh Aziz- Kamara as one of the Speakers in the SRC leadership Retreat. He taught the Cabinet about the different types of leadership and emphasized the need of having a constant aim of doing what is right, as leadership supersede the title rather it’s about the service and impact.

The SRC Vice President, Deborah S.O.S Johnson serving as the guest speaker at the “Mental Health Campaign”. She honored the Mass Communication department’s invitation to serve as the guest speaker, specifically addressing the issue of Drug abuse as a vitiating factor to a good mental health and reiterated that “Drug Abuse should be considered as a national pandemic in Sierra Leone”. She further stated that “in as much as taking it in that moment numbs your reality, however, in that moment it is also concurrently killing you slowly”. She ended by saying “Dare to say no to drugs!”.
