Dear Hill Valley Academy Parents,
As part of strengthening communication and collaboration, we are officially transitioning from PTA to the Hill Valley Academy Parents Association (PA).

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the school community.

Hill Valley Academy – Spirit Week (24th–28th November)�Here are the full details based on the questions parents asked:

MONDAY – Free Choice Day�Students may wear any fun, school-appropriate outfit.

TUESDAY – Twin Day�Students can dress in matching colours or matching outfits with their best friend or friendship group.�(No need to buy anything — simple colour matching works perfectly.)

WEDNESDAY – Cultural Day�Students are encouraged to wear traditional clothing representing their culture, heritage, or family background.�(Any respectful cultural outfit is acceptable.)

THURSDAY – Mismatch Day�A fun and silly day! Students can mix and match colours, patterns, socks, and accessories.�(Nothing needs to be purchased — just be creative.)

FRIDAY – Sports Day Theme�Students may wear their favourite football team’s kit, their school house colours, or any sportswear they already own.�(Team strips are optional — house colours or regular sports clothing are also fine.)

Spirit Week is here — a fun-filled week designed to build school pride, creativity, and community spirit among our students. Each day comes with its own special theme and activities. Here’s what to expect 👇🏽

✨ Monday – Classroom Decoration Competition
Students will transform their classrooms with colour, creativity, and teamwork!�Each class will decorate based on their chosen theme, showing off their imagination and school spirit.�
🏆 The best-decorated classroom will receive a special prize on Sports Day!

👯‍♀️ Tuesday – Twins / Match Day
Students are encouraged to pair up with a friend or group and dress alike!�From matching colours to identical outfits, it’s all about fun, friendship, and unity.�
📸 There will be a mini photo session to capture everyone’s matching styles!

🌍 Wednesday – Cultural Day
A celebration of Sierra Leone’s rich cultural diversity!�Students are invited to wear traditional clothing representing their tribe, heritage, or favourite culture.�There will be cultural displays, music, and performances throughout the day.�
💃🏾 Let’s celebrate our roots with pride and joy!

🎨 Thursday – Mismatch Day
😂A day to get silly and creative!�Students can mix and match colours, shoes, and patterns — the more unusual, the better!�Expect lots of laughter, wild combinations, and prizes for the most creative outfits.

🏅 Friday – Represent Your Team -Sports Day

Parents & Children should come dressed in their favourite football team strip or school house colours to show team pride and energy.�
We’ll close the week with our much-anticipated Sports Day!

Rep Your Team ! ⚽️ Students,Teachers & Parents will take part in a fun & friendly football match to show their athletic school spirit. Which Team Will Win ? 😂 Come and find out!

Parents, Friends and Family members are encouraged to come and cheer!�in
🏆 Prizes for all Spirit Week competitions will be presented during Sports Day.

💵 Participation Fee: Le20 per day�Payments can be made daily or for the full week in cash to your child’s teacher,�or via Orange Money – 076261638.�📌 Please include your child’s name and class year in the Orange Money payment ref.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support our children and the school’s future programmes — while celebrating teamwork, creativity, and joy. 💙💛
