Throwback to June 9th,2023 when students of the Biological sciences society officially had their plastic pollution campaign.
This campaign was done to commemorate the World Environment day with the theme : Solutions to beat plastic pollution.
A silent protest was done throughout the University grounds with vanguards on which messages to beat plastic pollution were held by biological sciences students and flyers were being handed out to students sensitizing them about the dangers of plastic pollution and what could be done to reduce or prevent plastic pollution .
The World Environment Day which was on June 5th is long gone, but the fight against plastic pollution continues. It is pertinent that everyone who are well aware about the devastating effects of plastic pollution help bring about the needed systems for change.
You can start by properly disposing of your waste.
No effort in this fight is wasted.
