Hello, my name is The Mirror.
I’m calling on all patriotic Sierra Leoneans to really pay attention to what’s happening in our country.
There are growing concerns that Sierra Leone could be heading toward a one-party state again. Some people believe this is not by accident, especially when you consider certain statements made by the current president that seem to suggest political revenge.
Others feel that what we’re seeing today may be part of a much longer pattern that goes back to earlier periods in our political history.
This should be a wake-up call for all of us—not just ordinary citizens, but also those within our national institutions. There are concerns about how the security forces are being structured, especially when it comes to the relationship between the army and the presidential guards.
Some fear that the role of the army, as defined by the constitution, could be reduced, while new forces are introduced under the idea of protecting the president and other top officials.
All of this is raising worries that power may become too concentrated in the hands of a few.
At the end of the day, it’s important for all of us to stay informed, stay alert, and stay involved in the future of our country.
