One True Religion

A professor from Texas has reportedly embraced Islam after deeply researching the physical and psychological benefits of sajdah (prostration) in Islamic prayer.

According to widely shared reports, he became intrigued by how the posture promotes mental clarity, humility, emotional balance, and inner peace. What began as an academic curiosity about the science behind the movement gradually turned into a personal journey of faith and spiritual exploration.

Islam teaches us that uncontrolled greed slowly destroys faith. When the heart becomes attached to wealth and status, it forgets its purpose.

The Prophet ﷺ warned us clearly:

“Two hungry wolves sent among sheep are not more destructive to them than a person’s greed for wealth and status is to his religion.”
— Sunan at-Tirmidhi (2376) — Hasan Sahih

Allah ﷻ also reminds us:

“Competition for more (wealth and worldly gains) distracts you.”
(Qur’an 102:1)

A Trust That Still Remains Today

When Makkah was conquered, the keys of the Ka‘bah were with Banu Shaybah, a family who had been taking care of this responsibility before the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

After Makkah was conquered, many people thought the keys would stay with the Prophet (PBUH) or be given to his family.

But the Prophet (PBUH) showed true justice.
He called Uthman ibn Talha from Banu Shaybah and returned the keys to him and said:

“Take these keys. This responsibility will stay with your family forever. No one will take it from you except an oppressor.”

Even after more than 1,400 years, the family of Banu Shaybah still holds the keys of the Ka‘bah.

This teaches us that Islam is a religion of trust, fairness, and mercy. Islam does not take away people’s rights, it protects them.

A trust given by the Prophet (PBUH).
A promise kept by history.
