Lovinda Junior Academy, a leading preschool and primary school committed to premium education, invites applications for the position of Experienced Phonics Teacher.
Position: Phonics Teacher (Full-time)�Location: 18 Femi Turner Drive, Goderich, Freetown
Main Duties:
• Deliver structured, engaging phonics lessons to preschool and primary pupils
• Teach systematic synthetic phonics, letter-sound correspondence, blending, and segmenting
• Develop strong foundational reading and spelling skills
• Assess pupil progress in phonics and provide targeted support
• Integrate phonics instruction effectively across early literacy activities
Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in Education or Early Childhood Education
• Proven experience teaching phonics, preferably using a recognised synthetic phonics programme
• Strong understanding of phonemic awareness and early reading development
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Dedication to fostering literacy in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach engaging, age-appropriate ICT lessons to primary pupils
• Deliver foundational digital literacy, computing concepts, and online safety
• Integrate ICT tools to enhance teaching and learning across subjects
• Manage and maintain ICT equipment and resources
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Plan and deliver high-impact lessons tailored to the NPSE syllabus.
✔ Develop and implement targeted revision strategies to ensure pupils master key concepts.
✔ Conduct regular assessments and mock exams to track progress and address learning gaps.
✔ Provide individualized support to pupils to boost confidence and exam readiness.
