*Hello everyone*
Today, we all witnessed what it means to truly love the place that shaped who you are. The passion displayed by POW was top-notch, and it reflects their unwavering commitment to ensuring their school remains at the top even long after they’ve left.
I know some may argue that we shouldn’t compare, but I ask: how can we grow without comparing and contrasting? Does SLIMS currently have the manpower to achieve great things? I can confidently say *yes, we do*. Do we have the same financial strength as other schools? **No**.
However, our strength lies in our unity, a united front free of malice, grudges, or hate. Together, we can accomplish incredible things if we collectively take responsibility now for a better future.
We are still in our growth stage. Earlier, I had a discussion with a friend who pointed out that SLIMS currently doesn’t have any alumni who are 40 years old. While that may be true, I firmly believe that even as a young institution, we are capable of achieving greatness.
That’s why I’m challenging all of you to join the executive team in changing the narrative of the East when it comes to Thanksgiving. *Let’s shake the eat of Freetown on May 11th* and show all of Sierra Leone that there’s a school in the small community of Old Wharf that ranks among the *top 10 government schools in the Freetown*.
But this can only happen if we:
✔ **Register**
✔ **Pay our contributions**
✔ **Dress impeccably on May 11th, 2025**
Let’s make sure they know who we are!
