*7 REASONS WHY DEGREE HOLDERS ARE POOR?*

BASICALLY, there are seven reasons why degree holders are poor.

*1. THEY DON’T THINK BEYOND THEIR CERTIFICATES*

Albert Einstein said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Have you ever heard creativity term “Think outside the box”? One of the major reasons why most graduates are poor is simply because they can’t see and think beyond their certificates.
I have seen engineering students work as bankers. I have seen medical doctors with great skills in web and graphic designs. I have seen lawyers that are very dexterous with finances. The list is endless!

The basic truth of life is that the skills that are needed to be much sought after and become more successful in life are not really found within the walls of the classrooms. Your certificate is just a proof that you are teachable, it does not suggest what you are totally capable of doing. You are full of possibilities when you think beyond your degrees and certificates.

*2. THEY PRIORITIZE THEIR CERTIFICATES MORE THAN THEIR GIFTS AND TALENTS*

I have often advised some of my colleagues, never to leave their gifts dormant while pursuing and hunting for jobs with their certificates. There must be a complementary balance in the pursuit of your passion and in the search for jobs.

Everybody is gifted for something, but the winning edge comes from our ability to work on our gifts and bless the world with it. The very best way to develop yourself is in the direction of your natural talents and interest. In order to live a fulfilled and impactful life, we need to work harder on our gift than our job. We need to discover our gift, develop it, and sell it. Don’t bury your TALENT with your certificates.

*3. THEIR CERTIFICATES PREPARE THEM FOR A WORLD THAT NO LONGER EXIST*

It has been found that most of the skills taught in schools are becoming obsolete in the present world. The world has changed a lot, and so are people’s need! .

Poem Title: BETRAYAL
Written by:
Christiana M.P.A Gbondo
Prof. Samuel Cassidy Vonjoe

I've been your defense since time immemorial...
Your confidant and care giver
I lend and gave you
everything at my expense
Stood by and with you at all defense
What did I get?
A stab in the back !
If you didn't want to be my friend,
why didn't you say, or leave me be?
rather than stabbing me,
and act like everything's ok?

You talk behind my back
Plot against me with foes
To my face you pretend,
You laugh at my very existence,
And I go on empty in the eyes of them who you feed using me....
With no regrets

I don't know what I did wrong?
You avoid me like I'm a bad smell,
I think you just decided I'm not worth it,
I guess you wouldn't catch me if i fell.
But would gladly step on me and walk away
Or even use me for your gain!

You erased me from your life,
that's your choice and fair enough,
You thought I would die
I never did anything to hurt you,
but if you ever come crawling back, tough!!

I'm always there for everyone,
maybe that's where I go wrong,
A lot of people decide my hate
for no reason, all I want is to get along.
Be free and peaceful
But the world doesn't seem to give me that!
Maybe, it's because you're in that world....

Sometimes I think no one cares,
Or hears me suffering deep inside,
Oh yeah no one really cares!
people would rather hurt my feelings,
and I'd much rather hide the pain to gain
As it's of no use crying everyday
Over something, that can't be change!

If you didn't want to be my friend,
you'd surely tell me at the start, or mid of this establishment
if you decided I wasn't right,
at least tell me, to stop breaking my heart.
Why raised my hopes and waste my time??
You betrayed my trust and every being!!

Dedicated to all those, who've gone through BETRAYAL, be strong, courageous and believe in the most high, for a change.
Again, highly careful, even though one can never be too careful, why we always need God.

STAY BLESS 😊😇🤗

as a Profession

Different people like different colours similarly when we talk about professions, all of us have different opinions. Suppose all of us become a doctor and if one of them have to make his house. When society is full of doctors who will build his house? So, he needs an engineer too in the society. Similarly, different professions have their own different importance. We need police to maintain the peace, a lawyer to deal with judiciary problems, a sweeper to sweep your dust, etc. No profession is either small or big. A doctor’s clinic will not be clean if there are no cleaning professionals. All of us have different taste and we choose our profession accordingly.
made me choose to become a lawyer?
Being a Lawyer is not only a profession but also helps us to know our potential. Sometimes we don’t even know how much we can do and what are the powers of a commoner. This profession helps us to know our own powers.
They also know how to deal with a problem; actually our law has a solution for every problem. So, in my onion, it is one of the best professions.
A lawyer should be smart and should have a very good logical power because this helps them to find evidence and also helps them to have a good verbal battle in the court.
Believe me or not but people never like to mess-up with a lawyer because they know they themselves can become the victim. So, many people stay away from them and it is a good thing.
People like me love this profession because I like to dig the truth at any cost. This profession teaches how professionally I can handle a case and help people.

considering the fact that I have good learning abilities and also good at remembering things, then I will definitely go for it; because one should have to byheart a lot of Acts and Rules. One should have a sharp mind to understand all these. One more thing, I would like to say, I'm really passionate about this profession, no one can stop me.
Just feel like flexing

*Parents expectation from their child?*
____________________________

*Mother:*
I fought with death when I was giving birth to you. I spent sleepless nights when you were sick and crying. I never ate without feeding you first. I bore so many pains to bring you to the stage that you are in today. _How will you repay me my child_?

*Child:*
When I grow up, I will find a good job and earn lots of money for you so you can enjoy the pleasures of this world.

*Mother:*
Your father is doing this already and I do not expect this from you too. By the time you are earning I will be old and will not be in need of any worldly luxuries.

*Son:*
I will find a pious lady and marry her so she can cook for you and take care of you.

*Mother:*
That is not her duty my son and neither should you marry for that reason. It is not compulsory on her to do any service to me, neither do I expect this from her. Your marriage should be for you, a companion and a comfort for you as you go through this journey of life.

*Child:*
Tell me mother how can I repay you then?

*Mother:*
(With tears in her eyes) Visit or call me often. A mother only requires this much from you while she is alive.
Then when I die give me your shoulder and bury me.
Whenever you perform prayers, supplicate for me.
Give out in charity for me.
Remember your every good deed will benefit me in the hereafter so be good and kind always.
Fulfill the rights of all those around you.
_The sleepless nights and pains I took to bring you up was not a favour to you but was for my creator. He blessed me with you as a beautiful gift and as a means for me to attain His pleasure. Your every good deed becomes my repayment._
Will you do it my child...?

*Child*: (Cannot speak and had tears in his eyes)
_Beautiful message for all the amazing Mothers out there._

Sharing is caring...

*EVERY SCAR HAS A STORY*
✍🏽 *®Prof Samuel Oxford Vonjoe*
Every scar has a story.
What will mine tell?
What will come of this
when I’m better, when I’m well?

I want my scar to tell
of how I’ve overcome,
of how I made it through,
of where I have come from.

I want my scar to whisper
about the pain I faced,
about this very hard time,
about the marathon I raced.

But mostly I want my scar
to speak of something greater
I want it to shout
about my living Creator.

Let my scar be evidence
that there is a loving Lord
who fought my scary battles
and on whose wings I soared.

Let my scar proclaim
that all things work for good,
that by myself I couldn’t
but with my God I could.

Let them take a look.
Let them peek and see.
My scar shows God is great.
It points to Him, not me.

*I AM AN AFRICAN*
✍🏽 *Prof Oxford Vonjoe*
🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
I Am An African
I am an African
Not because I was born there
But because my heart beats with Africa’s
I am an African
Not because my skin is black
But because my mind is engaged by Africa
I am an African
Not because I live on its soil
But because my soul is at home in Africa

When Africa weeps for her children
My cheeks are stained with tears
When Africa honours her elders
My head is bowed in respect
When Africa mourns for her victims
My hands are joined in prayer
When Africa celebrates her triumphs
My feet are alive with dancing

I am an African
For her blue skies take my breath away
And my hope for the future is bright
I am an African
For her people greet me as family
And teach me the meaning of community
I am an African
For her wildness quenches my spirit
And brings me closer to the source of life

When the music of Africa beats in the wind
My blood pulses to its rhythm
And I become the essence of sound
When the colours of Africa dazzle in the sun
My senses drink in its rainbow
And I become the palette of nature
When the stories of Africa echo round the fire
My feet walk in its pathways
And I become the footprints of history

I am an African
Because she is the cradle of our birth
And nurtures an ancient wisdom
I am an African
Because she lives in the world’s shadow
And bursts with a radiant luminosity
I am an African
Because she is the land of tomorrow
And I recognise her gifts as sacred.
