🌸💖 Mother’s Day Celebration at Chubby Cheeks Daycare 💖🌸
In celebration of Mother’s Day on the 10th of May, Chubby Cheeks Daycare proudly invited all mothers for a special Walk-In Picnic to spend quality time with their children. It was a beautiful and memorable day filled with love, laughter, and bonding moments between mothers and their little ones.
As we all know, many mothers often get limited time to spend with their children because of busy schedules and responsibilities. Events like this help strengthen the bond between mother and child, while also giving mothers the opportunity to see their children’s performance in school and how they interact with their classmates and teachers.
One of the highlights of the day was when the children proudly presented handmade Mother’s Day cards (prepare with so much love and creativity)to their mothers. Seeing the smiles and joy on the mothers’ faces was truly priceless. 💕
To make the day even more special, the management of Chubby Cheeks Daycare provided food and drinks for all mothers, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere where mothers could relax, connect, and get to know one another better.
We sincerely appreciate all the amazing mothers who attended and made the event a success.
Thank you for your endless love, care, and support.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers! 🌷👩👧👦✨

Happy 65th Independence Day
💚🤍💙
From the Management and Kids of ChubbyCheeks DayCare and Nursery
27/04/2026
In celebration of Sierra Leone’s 65th Independence Anniversary, Chubbycheeks Daycare took the kids on a special excursion to the National Museum. The visit was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn more about our nation’s history and explore the richness of our different cultural traditions.
Even though the children are still very young, over the years we’ve understood that outdoor excursions and sightseeing play an important role in building their minds as it’s all part of Montessori style learning. Helping them discover, observe, and understand the world around them through real experiences.
It was a sight to behold as the kids came dressed in their different GREEEN, WHITE AND BLUE attires, flying their Flags throughout the tour.

In celebration of this years Easter, Chubby Cheeks DayCare reflected on something deeply meaningful. Something simple, joyful, and yet slowly fading away from our society.
In the past, Easter was more than just a holiday marked by new clothes, church services, and family meals. For many, Easter meant one thing above all else kite flying.
The moment the Easter holidays approached, excitement would fill the air. As children, we eagerly anticipated those bright, sunny days when we would run freely through open fields, colorful kites dancing above us in the sky. It was not just play it was tradition, connection, and pure happiness.n
We learned patience as we struggled to get our kites off the ground. We learned creativity as we made them with our own hands. We built friendships, laughed endlessly, and created memories that many of us still carry in our hearts today.
But when we look around now, the story is changing. In the present day, many children do not know this simple yet beautiful tradition. The skies that were once filled with vibrant kites during Easter are now often empty. Instead, screens have taken over phones, tablets, and televisions replacing outdoor play and shared cultural experiences. The excitement we once felt has, for many children, been replaced by something far less meaningful.
And that is why this year, Chubby Cheeks Day Care made a very special decision.
We decided to bring back this tradition. To give our children the opportunity to experience the joy, the laughter, and the freedom that comes with kite flying. We wanted them to feel the wind on their faces, to look up at the sky with wonder, and to share in a tradition that has been part of our heritage for generations.
Watching the children run, smile, and cheer as their kites soared was a powerful reminder these traditions still matter. They are not outdated. They are not forgotten. They are simply waiting to be revived.
But this responsibility does not belong to schools and day care centers alone. It belongs to all of us especially to you, dear parents.
Traditions are the threads that connect our past to our future. When we allow them to fade, we risk losing a part of who we are. But when we preserve them, practice them, and pass them on, we give our children something priceless a sense of identity, belonging, and joy that cannot be found on a screen.
So today, as we celebrate Easter Monday , we encourage each and every parent here: let us keep these traditions alive. Take time to teach your children the simple pleasures you once knew. Go outside with them, fly a kite, share your stories, and create new memories together.
Let us ensure that our children do not grow up disconnected from their roots, but instead stand firmly grounded in the beauty of their culture and traditions.
Because one day, it will be their turn to pass it on.
