“Your admission marks the beginning of a good fortune”—VC&P Urges Postgraduate Matriculants
*_Njala University, Bo Campus, Njala Campus, 30th March 2026—_* The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of Njala University, Professor Bashiru Mohamed Koroma, has described admission into the university’s School of Postgraduate Studies as “the beginning of a good fortune,” calling on newly enrolled students to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead. The Vice-Chancellor and Principal made these statements during this year's postgraduate matriculation ceremony held on Saturday, 28th March 2026 at the University Auditorium at Njala Campus.
Addressing the new cohort, Professor Bashiru Mohamed Koroma assured students that the university’s academic and administrative staff are committed to making their academic journey both enriching and fulfilling. He emphasized that their success would depend not only on institutional support but also on their personal dedication and willingness to engage fully with available resources.
He urged the students to remain faithful to the Matriculation Oath, stressing the importance of discipline, integrity, and adherence to university regulations.
The Vice-Chancellor further advised them to complete all formal requirements, including signing the matriculation register and ensuring full payment of fees, while strictly following the guidelines outlined in the Postgraduate Policy.
Highlighting the value of postgraduate education, he encouraged students to maximize the academic environment, research opportunities, and institutional partnerships available to them. According to him, these resources are designed to enhance their learning experience and open doors to greater professional and academic advancement.
He concluded by congratulating the students on achieving a milestone many aspire to but do not attain, urging them to remain focused and committed to excellence throughout their studies.

Deputy Registrar Joins Muslim Students to Break Fast
Njala Campus Deputy Registrar, Mr. Anthony Habib Kamara, joined Muslim students to break fast on Thursday, 19th February 2025. His action is seen as a demonstration of solidarity, inclusiveness, and respect for religious harmony.
During the iftar, he highlighted values like discipline, sacrifice, love, and unity fostered by Ramadan and praised the peaceful coexistence among students of different faiths.
He made a financial donation to support Muslim students and encouraged them to balance spiritual and academic commitments.
He emphasized unity as key to campus progress and peace, inspiring students to support one another and the administration through timely fee payment for facility upkeep and upgrade.
The Student Union Government commended the gesture, saying "it's timely and needful," and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity.
