We are excited to share that our project "From Your Balcony to the Green Future" is moving forward! 🇪🇺🤝
Four participants from Slovakia, on behalf of CERD NGO, took part in an inspiring training activity in Slovenia focused on growing vegetables and fruits on balconies and terraces – a practical and sustainable way to adapt to climate change and promote green living right at our doorstep! 🏡🌱
During this intensive 6-day training, participants explored a wide range of topics, including:
🌿 Classification of plants according to climatic conditions
☀️ Balcony positioning in relation to sunlight
🌱 Plant growth characteristics and seasonal classification
💡 Designing balconies to save energy and maximize green space
A major highlight of the training was the hands-on group work, where participants collaborated to design and plant their own balcony gardens, putting theory into practice! 🌻🧑🌾
This activity is part of our commitment to empower adult learners with practical skills for sustainable living and environmental resilience. We are grateful to our Slovenian partners for their warm hospitality and excellent organization!
