On Sunday 23rd April Rotaract Club Bratislava Danube together with Rotary club Bratislava Danube organised the Colombian Day for children in Centrum pre Deti a Rodiny Učiteľská in Podunajské Biskupice.

Thanks to our exchange students from 🇨🇴Colombia - Sofia, 🇲🇽 Mexico - Luis, and 🇺🇸USA Gabbie, we tried many fun activities and everyone enjoyed the sunny weather.

For the first time we welcomed member of Rotaract Club Wien-Graben - Chrissi, who did an amazing job and made our activities even more fun and international.

We played typical Colombian games such as 'pin the tail to the horseback', we learned how to dance makarena and salsa. For active kids we organised football match and jumping into trashbag. Sofia prepared the traditionall colombian food - arepas. Thank you Sofia, it was delicious, and kids loved it! ❤️

It was amazing afternoon full off laugh, fun, smiles and we are happy we can spread the friendship further.

Last Sunday we organized a 🇲🇽 Mexican day in Centrum pre Deti a Rodiny Učiteľská.

Luis, who is a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Mexico, helped us to prepare everything as authentic as possible. Thank you Luis ❤️

Rotary club Bratislava Danube not only supported our project, but its members came personally to help and join our activities. Big thanks to you too ❤️

With kids we did the following fun activities, which allowed them to learn and experience different aspects of Mexican culture:

🌮 Mexican food & drinks preparation and tasting

💃🏼 Traditional mexican dancing class

💬 Learning Spanish language with Luis

👩‍🎨 Face-painting (inspired by Mexican traditions)

🎰 Loteria, typical Mexican game

🪅 We finished with a Piñata party, playing mexican music, having mexican food and drinks, dancing and singing together.

Thanks to everyone who helped and joined ❤️ It was great to see the kids again, learn something new with them, and make happy memories together!

Last Saturday, we organized 6 playful but educational workshops for kids in Centrum pre Deti a Rodiny Učitelská.

🏃‍♂️1st worshop was about Sports (2nd picture), Monika showed kids how to do a proper warm-up before a training, introduced yoga and highlighted importance of mobility.
🍎 2nd workshop was about Healthy food (3rd picture), Zuzka and Matka put blindfolds on kids while giving them tasty bites of food, kids guessed what food they are eating and discussed the health benefits.
♻️ 3rd workshop was about Recycling (4th picture), Janka explained to kids why we actually recycle and through a recycling game they played with prepared trash packages kids learnt how to recycle properly.
🍁 4th workshop was Creative (5th picture), Viki gathered different materials from nature and with kids they put together some autumn masterpieces.
💼 5th workshop was about Education and Career (6th picture), Samo discussed with kids their ambitions, their perspectives on what to do after school, and broaden their views on what are the possibilities some might not be aware of, giving also examples and stories of all of us.
💰 6th workshop was about Financial literacy (7th picture), Majka prepared a financial game for kids, which simulated some real life financial situations, kids learnt about importance of budgeting and saving.

All kids participated in all workshops in groups of 5, after successfully completing all of them, we had a little awards ceremony where we gave kids certificates and rewards🏅

We enjoyed the day as much as the kids and all of us learnt something new ❤️

Last Thursday Rotaract Bratislava joined Rotaract Vienna for their informal meeting over dinner. It was great to meet the club, get to know each other and learn about their upcoming activities! 🇦🇹🇸🇰

Je to iba mesiac dozadu... Správajme sa zodpovedne!

Veľmi nás teší, že sme dostali od Mesta Pezinok možnosť koncom mája podporiť našim mobilným audio-vybavením uličný, hudobný mini-koncert Simy Martausovej pre obyvateľov DSS v Pezinku, ktorí boli smutne postihnutí epidémiou COVID19!

Its was only one month ago... Lets continue being safe & responsible!

We are very thankful for the possibility to support a COVID19 - street concert with our mobile A&V Equipment. The concert of Sima Marthaus held by the City of Pezinok took place on the street in front of the retirement home in Pezinok, which was greatly affected by the COVID19 virus!

Počas uplynulých dvoch mesiacov sme boli jedným z hrdých podporovateľov odberového centra COVID19 v Pezinku. Sme veľmi vďační všetkým zdravotníkom, policajtom, hasičom, dobrovoľným hasičom a iným dobrovoľníkom, ktorí bojovali v prvej línií proti tomuto vírusu!

During the past 2 months we were one of the proud supporters of the mobile COVID19 sample collection center in the city of Pezinok.. We are very thankful to all of the frontline medical staff, policemen, firefighters, volunteer firefighters and other volunteers which have fought against this virus!
