What is the Academic Senate Faculty of Medicine
The Academic Senate Faculty of Medicine (AS FM) together with the Dean, the Scientific Board and the Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty form the self-government body of the Faculty of Medicine SZU. Generally, the AS FM manages; admissions guidelines, academic standards, and graduation requirements; consult with and advise the administration on fa
culty appointments, promotions, and budgets. The meetings of the AS FM are open to members of the academic community. Who are the members of the AS FM
It has at least eleven members divided into the employee part and the student part, of who at least one third is composed of students enrolled at all study programs undertaken at the Faculty. Currently the members are:

What are the duties of a senator
a) approving the internal and external regulations of the faculty
b) electing a candidate for the Dean or recalling him/her from office
c) approving the appointment of Vice-Deans
d) approving the appointment of members of the Scientific Board of the Faculty
e) approving the budget of the Medical Faculty
f) approving annual reports on activities and economic management of the Faculty
g) approving the long-term strategy of the faculty
h) approving the study programmes of the faculty
i) approving conditions for admission to study in the study programmes of the faculty
j) electing a representative of the faculty for the Higher Education Council
k) Submitting an annual report and publicising it on the faculty website
