An inspiring week in Ankara, Turkey’s capital, bringing together participants from various countries for the EU project “The Future in Our Hands”

Successfully completed the project “The Future in Our Hands” in Ankara, Turkey, held from 1-7 April 2026. We focused on democracy, active citizenship, and youth engagement.

From concept to creation.
Erasmus+ KA2 project: Trash2Treasure

During the local workshops, unused textiles were transformed into new wearable and functional pieces, demonstrating that creative reuse is a practical skill, not just a concept.

Participants worked with reclaimed materials, experimented with cutting, stitching and reconstruction techniques, and developed their own designs through guided mentoring and peer exchange.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU project Trash2Treasure, Axion Academy implemented WP4 Local Upcycling Workshops focused on circular economy principles, textile waste awareness, and the hands-on creative transformation of second-hand garments and unused textiles into new functional items.

⚜️Info project: The EU Youth project “Future in Our Hands” explores how young people can build a healthy lifestyle, stay active in society, and navigate the impact of technology and AI.
Through interactive workshops and non-formal education, participants will develop critical thinking skills, manage stress, collaborate in international teams, and gain new perspectives.

⚜️Finance:
- Participation fee: 25 eur
