Have you ever wondered what questions you should be asking yourself when you’re planning a wedding ceremony that truly feels YOURS, but keep getting overwhelmed by what everyone else thinks? 🤯

Well, here’s a starting point for you.
Ask yourself:

👉 “What moments will feel meaningful to US?”
For example, if exchanging wedding rings doesn’t quite capture your unique connection, consider something different - like using bracelets, exchanging tokens from a special place, or even getting matching tattoos! 😉 If the idea doesn’t light you up, maybe it’s worth rethinking or skipping altogether.

👉 “Who do we want by our side in those moments?”
Focus on those who’ll bring real joy and connection to your day. Include your kids in wedding rituals or opt for four-legged ring bearers - whatever makes you smile 🐾.

👉 “How can we celebrate in a way that feels like US?”
The ceremony is YOUR STORY - whether that means including traditional wedding rituals, eloping, or hiking to your wedding spot.

These three questions can truly guide you to create a wedding ceremony that reflects WHO YOU ARE, not who others expect you to be. And the best part? When you let go of the pressure to please everyone else, you’ll be left with a day you'll treasure forever. 💕

🎉 Drumroll, please… Introducing my first-ever LOGO! 🥳✨

Some of you have already seen it, as I’ve been quietly using it behind the scenes for a little while 😉, but I wanted to take a moment to formally introduce the new branding!

Over 10 years ago, I was standing at an altar during my first civil ceremony interpreting gig, heart in my mouth, promising myself I’d never do that again. And yet, here I am today - excitedly unveiling a logo that marks just how far this journey has come.

To everyone who's been a part of it: THANK YOU! 🙏 Your support means the world, and this milestone wouldn’t be possible without you. Here’s to new chapters, joyous celebrations and the magic of love stories! ✨

If you’re thinking about getting married in Slovenia then read this post first! 💍

Slovenia is a dream wedding destination of many couples but before diving in there’s a few things you should know to make sure you get the wedding day of your dreams.

Have you considered whether you want to go for a CIVIL or SYMBOLIC wedding ceremony?

✨ CIVIL WEDDINGS ✨
are legally recognized ceremonies performed by government officials. Typically held in courthouses or other approved venues, they follow a pre-set structure that focuses on the legal requirements for marriage. If you're planning to get legally married in Slovenia, you'll need to obtain specific documents from your home country and have them translated and certified and have a qualified interpreter present at your ceremony (to make sure you fully understand what you’re getting yourself into 😉).

✨ SYMBOLIC WEDDINGS ✨
are all about celebrating love and commitment, without the legalities. While symbolic weddings don’t result in legal marriage, they offer you the freedom to create a wedding experience that’s entirely your own - no limitations. You get to decide where and when to tie the knot, who officiates, who plays a part in the ceremony, and which wedding rituals to include. With a symbolic wedding, the possibilities are endless and you get to DO IT YOUR WAY.

As you can see, not all ceremonies are created equal. It all boils down to what YOU want from YOUR special day.

So before you jump in, make sure you are considering these things as they can truly help you to get the wedding day of your dreams.
