Personal story... I had so much heartburn with number 2.

A study by 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 scientists in 2006 followed 64 pregnant women and monitored their symptoms.

Researchers admitted even they were surprised by the results.

✨With so many different options and outcomes for birth, everyone's birth is unique.

To all the incredible mamas who have undergone and will undergo cesarean birth by choice or unplanned, remember having a cesarean delivery doesn't mean your body failed or that you chose the "easy way out"

In fact, it's quite the opposite. Your body performed an incredible feat by bringing life into this world, exactly as it was meant to do. 🙌

You are strong!
You are resilient!
You are amazing!
You are courageous! 💜

Here are a few tips for moms-to-be:
📌Learn about all types of birth experiences, including cesareans, to empower yourself with knowledge.
📌Open communication with your healthcare provider can help you understand your options and make informed decisions about your birth plan.
📌Surround yourself with a supportive network of family, friends, and doula who can offer guidance and encouragement.

OH and PS: Tag a c-section mama - let her know that her strength and courage shine through every scar.

Can I be honest with you for a bit?

The first few weeks were the weeks where I could barely function as a mother. In my head at that time, being a mother has to be flawless, be quick when your baby cries, have a good supply of milk, and many other “flawless” things. But I was wrong. That’s not what being a mother is about, isn’t it?

What I learned though, during the first few weeks, you need to take good care of yourself to rebuild your strength, such as:

✅ Taking naps when the baby naps, to make up for lost sleep at night from getting up to feed the baby.
✅ Wearing a supportive bra and use cold packs to help relieve breast engorgement and swelling.
✅ If stitches were needed during a vaginal delivery, take warm, shallow baths twice a day to ease soreness and speed healing.
✅ If you had to do a caesarean section, keep the incision clean and dry.
