Let’s welcome our next adjudicator, Ms Vera Boyadzhieva. 🇧🇬

Ms. Vera Boyadzhieva is a seasoned violinist and dedicated music educator with a distinguished career spanning over three decades across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Born and raised in Varna, Bulgaria, she began her formal music training at the age of five at the State School of Music under the mentorship of violinist Krasimira Odzhakova. She gave her first solo performance at just 11 years old and has since graced stages with solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and orchestral performances throughout Europe, Egypt, and Japan.

Ms. Boyadzhieva holds a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she studied under Professor Ginka Gichkova, a distinguished pupil of Emil Kamilarov, winner of the prestigious Paganini Violin Competition.

In 1996, she began her professional orchestral career with the Varna Symphony Orchestra and later joined the State Opera Varna. In 2006, she moved to Cairo, Egypt, where she spent five years as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Cairo Opera Orchestra. During her time in Cairo, she also taught violin at the British International School and the Modern English School, gaining a strong reputation as a violin tutor, particularly after one of her students won first prize at Germany’s Jugend Musiziert Competition.

Since 2011, Ms. Vera has been based in Singapore, where she continues to inspire the next generation of violinists through her teaching. In addition to her work as an educator, she remains active as a performer.

Leading up to the The Happy Music Festival Finals in Sept, let us introduce our adjudicators for this year’s festival. 🎉

First, let’s welcome... Mr Krzysztof Moskalewicz 🇵🇱

Krzysztof Moskalewicz is a Polish pianist celebrated for his exceptional sensitivity and interpretations marked by naturalness and profound expression.

Equally passionate about solo and collaborative performance, Krzysztof has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at many prestigious venues including Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Birmingham Town Hall, Palacio de Festivales de Santander, and the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw, alongside many other venues across Europe, Japan, and the United States. A recent review by Christopher Axworthy describes him as a pianist with ‘superb musicianship and masterly control’ (London, 2024).

As a soloist, Krzysztof regularly performs with orchestras including Sussex Symphony Orchestra, the Hounslow Symphony Orchestra, the Doctors’ Orchestra UK, Opole Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radom Chamber Orchestra, and the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School Symphony Orchestra. A recent performance of Rachmaninov’s First Piano Concerto at Cadogan Hall was described as ‘totally convincing in the more virtuosic passages with runs and passage work of immaculate precision and evenness of tone’.

Imagine you met a few friends through music. All of you are music professionals in teaching and performing. You play the violin, some play the piano, others play the cello. 🎹🎻

At first, it’s just playing for fun.

Then came the idea: “Since we’re all music professionals, why don’t we put on a public concert together?”

And just like that, what started as casual jam sessions turned into a 20-year journey across six unforgettable public concerts.

This October, they are coming together for their 7th concert!

Introducing…

An Enchanting Afternoon With Piano & Violin 7

This upcoming concert isn’t just a showcase of professional music artistry…it’s a celebration of 20 years of shared history, laughter, and a lifelong passion for music.

This 1-hour program spans fiery Spanish rhythms and Argentine tangos for piano six-hands, alongside romantic violin and piano duos by Brahms and Delius. The performance culminates in a grand two-piano, six-hands finale by Christina Sia that masterfully weaves together Liszt’s La Campanella and Beethoven’s Für Elise.
