Our director, Kathy Boursicot, recently spoke at Chulalongkorn University’s MDCU Teaching Academy in Bangkok, Thailand, on the assessment of professionalism in undergraduate medical education.

The session explored how professionalism develops through professional identity formation and the role of faculty and the learning environment in supporting this process. It also highlighted the importance of a systematic, longitudinal approach that brings together multiple sources of information, rather than relying on records of professional lapses alone.

We're pleased to be supporting the Collaborative Project to Increase Production of Rural Doctors (CPIRD) in Thailand, where our Director, Kathy Boursicot, delivered a two-day Foundations of Assessment workshop.

During the visit, Kathy also donated a selection of medical education books to support the programme's growing medical education library.

Thank you to everyone involved for the warm welcome and engaging discussions. It's been a pleasure to contribute to assessment capacity building across the CPIRD network.

It was a pleasure to be part of ANZAHPE 2026 – Weaving Connection in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our director, Kathy Boursicot, delivered the pre-conference workshop, "Weaving actionable feedback into performance assessment: supporting student learning," alongside Jennifer Williams, exploring practical approaches to embedding actionable feedback within assessment to better support learning.

She also chaired an assessment poster session and enjoyed connecting with colleagues at the risr/ breakfast meeting, with valuable conversations on current challenges and future directions in health professions assessment.

Great to see so many familiar and new faces throughout the meeting. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat, share ideas, and join the discussions.
