Our school held its annual cross-country run on 22nd April 2026, with students from all levels participating in the challenging event, demonstrating remarkable spirits of perseverance and enthusiasm.

The morning began with a safety briefing for all participants, followed by a warming up session led by Physical Education (PE) teachers. Students were divided into different categories based on their levels, ensuring fair competition across age groups.

The course featured several winding paths, pushing runners to their limits whilst showcasing the beautiful natural surroundings. Throughout the event, the atmosphere remained positive and encouraging. Students supported one another regardless of their running abilities, cheering loudly as their peers crossed the finishing line.

The cross-country run exemplified our school's values of resilience and respect. Many students achieved personal bests, at the same time enjoyed the wonderful experience of participating in this annual tradition.

The committee truly deserves recognition for their time and effort in planning and organising this successful event that brings our school community together.

It was a wonderful and memorable morning for Bukit View Secondary School, as we celebrated our 40th Anniversary Achieve and Excel Day.🎉🎉🎉

The presences of our past and present school leaders, our teachers and students who would be receiving their awards, as well as our guest of honour, were of significant meanings to the event.

The event, which comprised of an Awards Ceremony and a Concert, was truly a celebration of our legacies and our spirits.

The Awards Ceremony acknowledged our students’ talents and achievements across multiple domains, and a few of our teachers were also honoured for their years of dedication through Long Service Awards. The Concert brought our story to life through excellent integration of performances displayed by our Concert Band, Choir, Drama Club and Dance Club.🎉🎉🎉

As we were celebrating how far we have come and how much we have achieved, we were at the same time thrilled and excited for our journey ahead which is filled with numerous challenges and excitements.

First Parenting Talk of 2026:
Find Your Shine: Boost Your Self-Esteem 🌟✨

The talk was wonderfully engaging for both parents and kids, providing age-appropriate strategies that families can practice together. The trainer skillfully balanced activities that resonated with young participants whilst offering parents valuable insights into nurturing their kid's confidence.

It was indeed a wonderful session in which parents and children thoroughly immersed in the joy and fun of learning and sharing. ❤️❤️❤️

✨ Graduation Day for the Class of 2025 ✨

Today was no ordinary day. The school hall was filled: half with our graduating Sec 4 & 5 cohort, and half with proud parents, guardians, teachers, and leaders. The energy was high, the atmosphere warm, and the sense of pride unmistakable.

Before the ceremony began, a beautiful photo collage brought back memories of the past years. For us parents, it was a reminder of how far our children have come since stepping into this school four years ago. Just as the students had their teachers and seniors to guide them through twists and turns, we parents found strength and community in one another through the Parent Support Group (PSG).

This year, our encouragement board took a special form. Led by Yang Ling, more than 15 parents designed unique bookmarks of inspiration, each decorated with creativity and care, for our graduating students to pick as a memento at the graduation hall.

One of the highlights today was the laughter and cheers during the form teachers’ heartfelt videos (from 4A–4G and 5A). Thank you to all form and subject teachers, and every staff member who has touched our students’ lives and celebrated this milestone with them.

We are so proud of the three student representatives who courageously shared their memories and growth in knowledge, leadership, and friendships. And we were deeply moved by alumni Mr. Edrick Lie, who offered his juniors these three timeless reminders:
1️⃣ Surround yourself with the right people.
2️⃣ Mistakes are teachers, not failures.
3️⃣ The person you become matters more than the outcome.

As the programme ended, friends gathered for photos, parents interacted amongst ourselves and with teachers, and students picked up their chosen bookmark; a symbol of our shared journey.

On behalf of PSG, we wish all graduating students every success in the path ahead. You are the author of your own story. May you continue to find your voice and walk boldly in alignment with your values, passion, and interests.

💫 To all students preparing for the exam season, we send you our best wishes. Believe in yourself, stay confident, and keep growing!

Happy Teachers’ Day to all our amazing educators! 🍎💐

This year, the PSG EXCO, with the generous support of parents, organised a Teachers’ Day buffet lunch to show our appreciation. The response was heartwarming: many teachers stopped by to thank parents for sponsoring the meal.

✨ Highlights of the celebration:

The curry chicken was the clear favourite on the menu (thanks Mr Neo for the recommendation!).

A big thank you to Anitha for preparing a special vegetarian option.

And a sweet surprise from our “hidden baker” Siti, who sponsored three boxes of delicious brownies.

💌 In addition, one of our annual traditions is the Encouragement Board for the graduating Sec 4 & 5 students. Parents once again poured their creativity into handmade cards and bookmarks with heartfelt messages. Working closely with the school, the decorated board is now displayed outside the General Office for all students to enjoy. (Thanks, Yang Ling, who led more than 15 parents for this effort)

📅 On 26 September (Graduation Ceremony), the board will be moved to the hall for parents to view. Students may take down the bookmarks after the ceremony, and there will be a photo corner with the graduation kit at the event.

🌿 Beyond these efforts, the PSG has also organised:

- Workshops on campus

- A School Leaders & Parents Walk at Jurong Lake Gardens during the June holidays

- Sharing of free and paid resources

More in-person activities will be planned before year-end.

On behalf of the PSG EXCO, thank you to all parents who gave in money, in kind, and in time. Your contributions made these moments possible. 🙏

💫 We warmly invite more parents to come forward and join the PSG EXCO team. Every effort, big or small, helps to build a supportive and caring community for our children. 🥰

This year, three amazing parent teams joined the annual BVSS Forward Bound 2025! It has been heartening to see more parents showing up year after year with some serious fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious walkers in the mix! 🔥😊❤️

What made it even more special? On the final day of the annual event (which kicked off on 31 May), a few members of the parent teams and teacher teams came together for a joyful Saturday morning meet-up at the Jurong Lake Gardens. We were joined by family members and a furry friend! 🐾

We walked, sweated, laughed, and bonded step-by-step, heart-to-heart.

It was a unique chance to:
💬 Connect with fellow parents and dedicated teachers
💡 Learn more about the school’s vibrant programmes
💦 Enjoy the fresh air and collective energy
☕ Wind down over breakfast and good conversations

Here’s to more shared steps and stronger community ties in the years ahead!
Let’s bring even more families on board next year. 🙌

As the June holidays come to a close, we hope everyone found time for fun, rest, and renewal.

Wishing all parents, children, and families a great start to the new school term—and a purposeful second half of the year ahead! 💯❤️👏😊

📸 *A Meaningful Morning Together — Learning to Parent Through the Teen Years*

Close to 30 parents (with four pairs of parents) gathered on a Saturday morning to learn, reflect, and support one another through the ups and downs of raising teenagers.

Before the session, conversations flowed as parents got to know each other over shared experiences and hopes for their teens.

During the workshop, our experienced trainer facilitated rich dialogue and learning. Parents generously shared diverse perspectives—and challenges—on topics like:

✔️ Supporting teens to make better decisions

✔️ When to step in and when to step back

✔️ How to get teens to listen

✔️ Peer influence vs parental advice

Thank you to all parents who showed up with open hearts and minds. Together, we’re not just parenting—we’re growing, too. 💬

Thank you trainer, Mr Michael Chua, PSG leaders & BVSS school leaders!

🎊🐍 Happy Lunar New Year from Bukit View Secondary! 🐍🎊

We had an amazing opportunity to celebrate the Spring Festival at our school! The classrooms were buzzing with energy as students enthusiastically decorated their spaces using ang pau (red packets) and recyclable materials. What a fantastic way to promote creativity and sustainability! 🌿🖌️

The on-stage performances were a highlight, featuring our talented choir singing in both Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin, alongside stunning modern dances. 🎶💃

We were thrilled to see Mr. Neo (Vice Principal) demonstrated his agility during the CNY dance! The students loved participating in the trivia Q&A, which ended on a high note with a vibrant Lion Dance and a visit from the God of Fortune. 🦁💰

A big thank you to Bukit View Secondary School for creating such a nurturing environment that allows our children to thrive and celebrate together. Wishing all families good health, happiness, and progress in their learning journey this Year of the Snake! 🐍❤️
