People ask me how I can stay my course for 25 years in music. I realised I was just trying to be authentic to my identity and needs. 💰 Money cannot buy my identity. My identity creates my money 🤑.
(But pls go for proper training 😅)

Stay true to yourself. The whole world will not agree with you. But when you are aligned, the right people will come along to lift you further and further along your axis of full joy.

It's my first time attending as a guest to a DnD in my 25 years as a musician (Musicians only work at DnDs 🤣). Won $30 cash + a Eu Yan Sang hamper that's why the weird pose with sauve 😎 Also very happy to catch up with the super talented . We are now colleagues! 🤩

Thank you Srmc Singapore for the Long Service Award 🙆‍♀️ I started teaching there since 2012 hence I'm a 🦕 I've many beautiful memories of students and teaching experiences from there, which also allowed me to grow tremendously as a vocal teacher. I created new teaching methods so that the lessons can be more efficient and effective, but i also learnt how to manage emotional boundaries for testy students (very important for a teacher which I didn't realise in my younger self)

Time flies!! May the school continue to nurture many more passionate music students 👩‍🎤👨🏼‍🎤

🌟 22 Students in all for this year's two-parter concert. Woah I survived! 😂 So happy to see everyone take on the stage to sing and express!!

My forte is in techniques, so of course my radar is always on with regards to that. But I also know that half of the journey to becoming a GREAT singer on stage is only 50% great techniques, and 50% performance psychology.

💡What is your self-talk like before and during singing (and practices)? Too forgiving? Too critical?
💡 Are you your best friend within your own head?
💡 How capable are you of self-soothing?
💡 Do you know that you are the one giving yourself the 'permit' or 'licence' to sing from your heart and desires (which no cert in the whole wide world can give to you)?

I can't give answers to the above cos I'm 'juat a singing teacher' (at least for now 😛). But the STAGE fleshes out every single demon 10 folds. Once you fight through this ROG game, you WIN ☀️🫶🏻😎
