🌙✨ Hari Raya & International Friendship Day Celebration ✨🌏

Our school came alive with vibrant sights, sounds and shared joy as we celebrated Hari Raya alongside International Friendship Day!💫

Our Gems took centre stage with captivating cultural performances—from the rhythmic beats of kompang, the energetic chants of Dikir Barat, the graceful movements of Malay dance, to thepowerful display of silat. Each performance reflected not only talent, but a deep appreciation of heritage and identity. ✨

The celebration was made even more meaningful with the strong support of our IPSR (International and Singapore Permanent Residents) parents, who joined in the festivities and added to the warm kampung spirit we experienced together. 💛

During recess, the learning continued through hands-on and interactive activities. Our Gems had the opportunity to try their hand at making traditional pineapple tarts, take part in simple feast preparations, and explore cultures from other countries—fostering curiosity, respect and global awareness.

It was truly a joyful celebration of unity in diversity, where traditions were shared, friendships were strengthened, and memories were made. 🌈

🛩️ Soaring to New Heights!✨

Our Primary 4 and 5 Eureka Gems have made us incredibly proud at the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Challenge! ✈️🇸🇬

🏆 Celebrating our achievements:
• P5 team: 1st place Presentation Award for exceptional communication skills 🥇🎤
• P4 team: 2nd place Time Aloft Award & 3rd place Championship Award 🥈🥉

What made this experience truly special was watching our students collaborate in teams 🤝, applying aerodynamics principles whilst designing paper planes for maximum flight time, distance, and accuracy 🎯. The highlight? Our P5 winners sharing their innovative designs with Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence & Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment during the awards ceremony! 🌟👨‍💼

Beyond the medals 🏅, this challenge embodied everything we value in STEM education - hands-on learning 🔬, creative problem-solving 💡, and connecting classroom theory to real-world applications 🌍. Our students explored wing shapes, weight distribution, and folding techniques whilst developing teamwork, resilience, and curiosity 🧠💪.

Watching them test, refine, and improve their designs reminded us why experiential learning is so powerful in sparking young minds’ interest in science and engineering 🔥🚀.

Well done to all our participants - you have truly taken flight! 🌟👏

✨ P1 Gems & P4 Leaders: Growing Together 💛

Our Peer Support Programme continues to nurture a caring and inclusive school culture, where every student feels seen and valued.

During recess, our Primary 4 seniors spent time bonding with our Primary 1 Gems through games. These shared moments provide our P1 Gems with a sense of belonging as they settle into their primary school life.

At the same time, our P4 Gems grow as empathetic leaders—learning to guide, include, and look out for their younger peers.

Through these meaningful interactions, our P4 Gems develop a stronger sense of responsibility and service to others.

Together, let’s continue to build a positive environment where peer encouragement and support remain at the heart of our school community.

💧🌍 World Water Day 2026: “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows”

This World Water Day, our Fuhua Gems were inspired through an engaging assembly talk by the Waterways Watch Society, learning why water is such a precious resource 💙. From tap to reservoir and through the rain cycle ☁️🌧️, students explored water’s journey and how it supports our daily lives in school.

Learning came alive through hands-on experiences! 🛠️ Our P6 Gems built water wheels, while P5 Gems carried out water cycle experiments 🔄. During recess, our Gems participated in water filtration activities 💧 and made personal pledges to save water ✍️. Classroom activities included quizzes, colouring, word puzzles and creative slogan-making 🎨🧠.

Through these experiences, our Gems are picking up simple yet impactful habits — like turning off taps properly 🚰 — and becoming more mindful of every drop.

At Fuhua, we are nurturing water champions who understand that clean water and sanitation are fundamental to strong and thriving communities 🌱. Together, we are making every drop count! 💙
