I came across a Facebook post by The Mamma Verse.

I had a good laugh because it felt a little too real.

As someone born in the millennial generation, I constantly find myself navigating this in-between space.

One moment, I hear the “old-school” voice in my head... Need to be disciplined, be firm, be structured.

The next, I remind myself that I have to be present, be gentle, listen more, connect deeper.

Parenting today feels like a constant shift.
Between what we were taught, and what we are trying to unlearn.

Between raising resilient children, and raising emotionally secure ones.

And maybe… we’re just trying to find that balance in between.
Not too hard.
Not too soft.
Just… medium rare. 😅

Still figuring it out, one day at a time..
But doing it with a lot more awareness, intention, and heart.

To all the millennial parents out there!
