Design studio x Children camp

Delighted to be able to work with our partner FunMeiker in Taiwan to be part of Church s summer camp 🏕️. To bring an opportunity for children to develop their creativity as they engage in model making project such as plaster model casting , texture collection and botanical section drawings to study the section profile of different types of common fruits we eat.

Designing a new bum boat museum along marina Bay Area at Artscience museum, arkidtect propose their 250sqm museum design with spaces that are dynamic and creative to inspire visitors from all over the world !

Exploration of design of Mongolian Yurt house , tree house of rain forest, mud house for cases obos in Africa and the casting of cave houses in the mountain by learning how to create form works and plaster casting techniques of positive and negative spaces.

Organised by the DesignSingapore Council, the Learning by Design initiative aims to nurture students to become creative youths who can ride the future waves of change and build a better future for themselves and others.

🌲Outdoor Adventure Building Camp for kids!🏕️ What an amazing June Holidays it's been!

🤝 New Tribe, New Friends: We're building lasting friendships while working together. Icebreaker games have brought us closer, fostering a strong kampung spirit!

🌿 Five Senses Mapping: Exploring our role in the environment and embracing sustainability. We've ventured into unknown sites, using our senses to map them out for future adventures!

🛠️ 1st Builds - Tribe Identity Totems: Learning skills like safe module handling, hammering, sanding, and knot & rope-tying. Our tribe identity is taking shape with unique totems!

🍽️ 2nd Builds - Camp Wander Table: Creating a super long table for shared meals. Let the food cheers begin!

🎳 3rd Builds: From a crate to a thrilling bowling alley! Witnessing the magic of transformation for unforgettable fun!

🏕️ 4th Builds: Mastering tent-making and outdoor cooking essentials. We're prepared for any weather. Instant noodles cooked by our tribemates have become a delicious bonding experience!

💭 Reflection sessions: Insightful discussions on the world, the environment, and creating change. Together, we're making a difference!

Design Thinking Camp Highlights! 🎨🚀

3️⃣ Developer Briefing and Planning 🏗️🌈
The campers received a fascinating developer briefing on site requirements and typologies. They expressed their interests, dreams, and hobbies through personalized cards. Exciting discussions followed about plot development, determining program sizes, and sorting colorful Lego bricks to represent different elements. 🏡🔍

4️⃣ Grand Finale: Design Model and Presentation 🎉📐
The camp concluded with an epic finale as the children put their imaginations into action! They built stunning design models using different materials, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills. The highlight was the captivating presentations, where each camper shared their vision and design process. 🌟🎤

Our young designers have truly amazed us with their talent and enthusiasm throughout this design thinking camp.
