Presenting The Vocal Consort
The Vocal Consort (TVC) is a prominent choral group in Singapore, founded in September 2001 by Mr Nelson Kwei, a renowned and award-winning choral conductor. The choir’s primary goals are to foster a sense of community through singing and promoting community bonding. TVC has gained recognition as a leading community choir with association with the Siglap South Community Centre (Centre of Excellence for Performing Arts) and is affiliated with the Choral Association (Singapore). Its members, ranging from choral hobbyists to professional musicians, share a passion for choral singing and come together to create beautiful music.
Since its establishment, TVC has actively engaged in collaborations with national arts groups and participated in various national arts events, demonstrating its commitment to artistic excellence. In 2018, the choir had the honor of performing at the opening ceremony of the 33rd ASEAN Summit, where leaders from ASEAN nations were present. During the festive Christmas season, TVC engages in carolling performances at prominent locations in Singapore, spreading joy and holiday spirit to the public.
Over the years, TVC has expanded its repertoire and broadened its membership to include individuals of varying ages. The choir has faced challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, during which it adapted to changing safe management measures. Despite the difficulties, TVC organized its first digital presentation titled “Follow The Sun” concert in March 2021, to provide light and solace during the tough times. As pandemic restrictions eased and live performances became feasible again, TVC achieved a significant milestone in January 2022 with the “Cadenza” concert, graced by Mr Edwin Tong, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law, as the Guest of Honour. This event marked an important step forward in the wake of the pandemic. In August 2022, The Vocal Consort continued its dedication to performance excellence by presenting a one-act comic operetta titled “Trial by Jury” as part of the “Even After All This Time” concert.
Throughout its journey, The Vocal Consort remains dedicated to sharing its passion for singing and pursuing choral excellence. The choir’s commitment to its community and artistic growth has solidified its reputation as one of Singapore’s premier choral groups.

Presenting the Singapore Choral Artists
The Singapore Choral Artists (SCA) is a professional choir that seeks to be the artistic ambassador of Singapore repertoire and purveyor of quality international choral art. SCA is led by our esteemed artistic director, Mr Nelson Kwei, who has over 30 years of experience conducting Singapore choirs to attain numerous accolades in international and local competitions.
Each of our 22 choir members holds at least 10 years of choral singing experience and spans various professions, including choral conductors, school educators, and music researchers. Drawing from our diverse backgrounds, we hold close to our hearts the passion and desire to present choral music of high quality and excellence.
SCA’s vision is to be choral artists of Singapore, and choral artists of the world. Our two-pronged approach bridges together the choral music of both Singapore and the global community through the professional medium of our high choral standard. We firmly believe in championing outstanding Singaporean choral composers and their works to international audiences. Concurrently, we look to be advocates of the diversity and quality of choral music around the world, by showcasing what premier international composers have to offer to both our local and international audiences.

Presenting Victoria Chorale
Founded in 1988, Victoria Chorale is the home of singers from Victoria School and Victoria Junior College. Under the guidance of esteemed conductor Mr. Nelson Kwei, our voices have voyaged to prestigious international festivals and touched the hearts of audiences at home.
Since our very first tour to Wales in 1990, the choir has commissioned Singaporean compositions and represented our nation proudly in the international choral arena. Triumphs include top awards at reputable choir festivals and conventions in Bournemouth, England (1992), Riva Del Garda, Italy (1994), Llangollen, Wales (1996), Pohlheim, Germany (1998), and Bremen, Germany (2004).
In 2006, we clinched the championship in the Musica Sacra A Ca****la category at the World Choir Games in Xiamen, China. We also triumphed as Grand Champions at the inaugural Manado Cantat International Choral Competition (2017), dominating the Equal Voices Open, Chamber, and Sacred categories. Most recently, we were Grand Prix finalists at the 6th Tokyo International Choir Competition (2024), taking home two Gold Prizes and the award for Best Interpretation of Classical Music.
Beyond competitions, the choir has captivated audiences in prestigious venues and festivals worldwide. We represented Singapore at the Western Division Choral Convention organised by the American Choral Directors Association in Hawaii, USA in 2002. In 2009, our choir embarked on a concert tour at the invitation of J&A Music Corporation, performing an extensive repertoire at the Seoul Arts Center, South Korea. This tour was followed by invitations to perform at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Sri Lanka (2014), and the Sarawak International Festival of Music and Arts, Malaysia (2022).
