Two of our toddlers were quietly playing on the grass when one of our educators noticed a moment between the two. One child pointed while the other sprayed, responding to what his peer might have been asking through his actions. This interaction may be small but it shows the beginnings of reciprocal play as one child moves towards associative play.
Without needing many words, they are noticing each other’s cues, responding in real time and beginning to coordinate their play. What looks like simple play on the surface is actually a big step in social development.👂🏻👀👦🏻

What does it really mean for a child to be “best behaved”?
Because a child who feels safe doesn’t always look like the one who sits quietly, follows directions and doesn’t make a fuss. Sometimes, feeling safe looks a little louder, messier and exactly as they are. 🌿
Watch on as Ms Bianca and Ms Sam unpack what “well-behaved” might really mean. Part 2 coming soon!
Drop us your thoughts, we’d love to hear from you - what does “well-behaved” mean in your home or classroom?
Home means something different to each of us. For some, it’s where our own childhood memories were made. For others, a place found along the way. Regardless of where our stories started, we’re so grateful for a place that gives our little ones room to grow, play and make memories of their own.
From all of us at Pebble, happy National Day. Here’s to the little moments, ordinary days and shared memories that make Singapore feel like home. 🇸🇬✨
brb, we are still recovering from our 9am dance party... but we wouldn’t trade this chaos and their energy for the world ❤️

A short reflection on the month behind us. 🌿
The most meaningful learning rarely begins with giving children the answers. It begins with a question they’re curious enough to follow. This past month, the children explored sustainability through making, experimenting and following their curiosity into the world around them.
As the weekend unfolds, stay curious alongside them. In the stories they tell and the questions they ask, you may just catch a glimpse of the learning that’s quietly taking root.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend 🤍
