Featuring Arts Week and STEM Week at ACJC, where the college’s Humanities, Mathematics, and Science departments curated a wide range of engaging activities, talks, and experiences for our students.

From captivating live poetry sessions that brought words to life, to hands-on science experiments and inspiring sharing sessions by leading experts in their fields, students were given the opportunity to explore their subjects beyond the classroom and encounter learning in exciting and meaningful ways. πŸ“πŸ”¬βœ¨

A heartfelt thank you to all the departments, speakers, and students who made these two weeks such an enriching and memorable experience!

2 weeks ago, the college hosted our annual Service Learning Fair, which brought together a variety of social organisations that shared their causes and the communities they support to our students. ✨

Through these conversations and showcases, our students gained deeper insight into the diverse needs within society, and discovered the many ways they can step forward to make a difference. More than just an event, it was a valuable opportunity for our students to learn with empathy, grow in awareness, and be inspired to serve with purpose.

Thank you to all organisations that came down for this fair for making this enriching and impactful day possible β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›

Wrapping up the term with some fun in the sun and a grand showcase of artistic talent!

Last week, ACJC held our annual Arts Fringe where students and teachers alike came together to sing, dance and revel in the artistic talent of the AC community. πŸ•ΊπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»

And just this Wednesday, we were blessed with wonderful weather during RunAC. It was a whole lot of fun where students got to reconnect with their house mates and take a moment to enjoy some fresh air at West Coast Park. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ€βž‘οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ€βž‘οΈ

Orientation through two lenses πŸ’« As the buzz of Orientation 2026 settles and the students are finding their rhythm again, we found some time to interview an OGL from Ori 2026, Katelyn and her OG kid, Hedvika to ask them about their Orientation 2026 experience.

Surprise surprise, Katelyn was actually interviewed last year as the OG Kid and we were delighted to see her stepping up as an OGL this year. For her, Orientation 2026 was a fruitful experience where she, together with her fellow OGLs worked hard to create a safe and welcoming space for their J1s. Over the course of Ori, she was heartened to see that her J1s slowly warmed up, bonded, and grew closer as one OG. 🫢🏻

For Hedvika, stepping into AC was filled with uncertainty at first, but Orientation 2026 quickly became something to look forward to and definitely one to reminisce about. From forming strong friendships to feeling genuinely welcomed by her OGLs and teachers, the experience helped her ease into a brand new environment.πŸ‘πŸ»

To our dedicated OGLs, thank you for your time, heart, and unwavering commitment to making Orientation 2026 such a meaningful start for the J1s. And to our J1s β€” may this be just the beginning of your AC journey, and perhaps one day, you too will step forward to guide the next batch with the same warmth and spirit. β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›
