First fundraising event of 2016! Was a very tiring day for all of us but it was worth it as we managed to raise enough funds for the kids taking their examinations.

The man on the left is Timotius. He is with our Group member Brandon. Timotius aspires to become a soldier. He is currently the role moddel of many children at the orphanage. He is responsible and friendly, making it easy for the younger children to see him as a brotherly figure.

This is Henrick. He is 12 years old. He likes to swim and is rather strong physically. He wants to follow in the footsteps of the owner of the orphanage, to become a pastor in the future.

This is Christo. He is also 17. Unlike the other kids who want to become doctors and teachers, he hopes that one day he can turn his passion into his source of income. He wants to become a pro cyclist.

This is Hetty and she is 17 this year. She likes to sing but has no intention to become a singer. Instead, she hopes to become a teacher. She is able to speak fluent English and is able to help us by being the bridge of communication between the team and the owners of the orphanage.

This is Monica, a brave 12 year old girl. She likes to play badminton unlike the boys who like to play soccer. She hopes to become a policewoman to protect those who are weaker and uphold justice.

Hello people,
Our group has started a crowd funding initiative to help out the children at the Viran orphanage. Please help by donating if it is within your means or help by sharing this post and spreading the word. All proceeds would be used to ensure that the orphanage are able to pay off the school fees they owe as well as help older children take up English Speaking Courses such that they are able to have an edge in securing a job in the near future.

Every small action counts. Donate and share today!

Today marks the start of a picture a day. For every picture that we will be posting, we will be telling you a short story about it.
So...
This is Diius. He is 8 years old this year. He was placed at Viran orphanage because he came from a poor family who could not afford to raise him. Now, he has found a new family in Viran and is very cheerful. He loves to play football with all the other children.
