This is one of our Term 3 favourites. It’s so good for finding the pulse of the music and for developing confidence through movement. 🐝

In class we sing this song with a live instrument, and use actions to tell the story as we go!

With each age group we like to introduce a new fun challenge. Like our preschoolers LOVE to guess what comes next after “It’s gone to make us some...” 🍯

Bet you didn't know tapping your child's feet could be learning!

To a lot of our parents, this just looks like a fun little game.

But to us... it's one of the many ways we help children learn through music.

This activity is all about tempo: helping children hear the difference between FAST and SLOW.

One thing we do very carefully is keep the volume the same while the speed changes.

But why?

Because if a song becomes fast AND loud, or slow AND quiet, at the same time, it can be difficult for little ones to tell what's actually changing.

By changing just one thing at a time, we're helping children become more confident listeners.

They're learning to recognise patterns, tune into the music and build the listening skills that support future musical learning.

It's one of those things your child will probably never notice...

But that's exactly the point!

Behind every song, every game and every movement is a purpose.

We carefully choose activities like this so that when we step into a class, we're creating moments that are joyful, magical and genuinely support your child's development. ✨

"Again, again!"

If you've heard 'The Wheels on the Bus' approximately one billion times this week, you're not alone. 😅

As repetitive as it may feel, children actually love hearing and singing the same songs over and over because repetition helps them learn.

This is why it’s GREAT that your little one requests that song for the hundredth time:

It builds confidence
Knowing what comes next helps children participate more independently and confidently.

2. It strengthens memory and language skills.
Repeating songs helps little ones learn new vocabulary, sentence patterns, and sequencing.

3. It creates a sense of comfort and security
Familiar songs are predictable, which can help children feel safe, calm, and connected.

That’s why all of our classes feature songs that kids already adore + some new ones that focus on different skills too (and give parents something new to listen to). 🤭
