✨Can truly improve education, or are we overlooking deeper questions about , , and what it means to ? 📚🌍
🙏 Thank you to everyone who joined the latest edition of the ASEF Lecture Series 2026 in Singapore, featuring Prof Wayne Holmes for a thought-provoking lecture on “Artificial Intelligence, Education and Human Agency: A Critical Studies Perspective.”
💡The session challenged dominant narratives surrounding AI in education, raising important questions about ethics, pedagogy, surveillance, equity, and human agency in an increasingly AI-shaped world.
ASEF Deputy Executive Director Mr ZHANG Lei opened and closed the session, thanking Prof Holmes for his insightful contributions and emphasising the importance of ensuring that education empowers individuals not only to use AI, but to think critically, act ethically, and exercise meaningful agency in a world increasingly impacted by AI.”
👏Thank you to all participants for contributing to this rich and timely discussion.
