One thing that’s common with almost everyone who genuinely wants to learn to mengaji…

At the beginning, there are always doubts.

“Can I really do this?”
“It’s so hard.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to read smoothly.”

As asatizah, we’ve learnt not to judge those doubts. We encourage, we guide, we correct, and we keep pushing—until one day they smile and say,

“Eh… okay lah, it’s getting better.”
“I can feel the flow now.”

And before they realise it, they’re reciting verses they once thought were impossible.

Another thing we’ve learnt is never to give up on any student. Every person learns at a different pace. Some take weeks, others take months. But as long as there’s sincerity and consistency, progress will come, in shaa Allah.

Don’t let today’s struggle convince you that tomorrow’s progress is impossible.

Every fluent reciter was once someone who struggled with their first ayah.

May Allah make us among those who never stop learning His Book and never lose hope in the journey. Ameen.

The Quran they hear today will, in shaa Allah, be the Quran they recite tomorrow.

We’re far from being perfect examples. But we keep trying, hoping that the little things our children see today will inspire them to love the Quran tomorrow.

“Is it worth it doing what we are doing ?”

Without a doubt, yes.

While the progress may sometimes be gradual, moments like these remind us why we started. But then, a message like this comes in…

“They genuinely enjoy their ngaji classes.”

As teachers, that means the world to us.

And as parents, there’s no greater joy than seeing your children look forward to learning the Qur’an, reciting it with confidence, and building a love for Allah’s words.

This is exactly why we keep going.

Alhamdulillah for every small step, every improvement, and every smile. May Allah continue to bless all our students and make the Qur’an the light of their hearts.

The journey is not always easy. There are challenges, setbacks, and moments that require perseverance.

But seeing our students slowly improve, gain confidence, and eventually recite the Qur’an with fluency reminds us why we started.

Every huruf they learn, every page they complete, and every milestone they achieve makes all the effort worthwhile.

There is a satisfaction that words can hardly describe. Alhamdulillah, this is what keeps us going, and we pray that Allah accepts every effort from our teachers, students, and parents.

Some of our classes don’t have a fixed schedule, allowing us to arrange lessons based on mutual availability.

Even for classes with a fixed schedule, if you’re unable to attend, we’ll gladly arrange a replacement lesson for you.

Our priority has always been our students and ensuring they don’t miss out on their Quran learning.

Alhamdulillah, our students and parents have always been very understanding and willing to work together to find suitable timings whenever rescheduling is needed.
