Focal Maths We offer group tuition in Mathematics for students ranging from Primary 5 to Secondary 5.

Our approach

Javern Sim, the principal tutor of Focal Maths, possesses in depth knowledge about examination syllabi and has developed various techniques to help students understand and solve complex Mathematics questions. For every topic in the examination syllabus, students are provided with short notes which explain mathematical concepts in a concise manner. These explanatory notes complement

our tutor's detailed explanations in class. Typically, our tutor will go through 10-15 frequently-tested examination questions with his students in every class. To ensure that our students acquire complete understanding of each topic in the examination syllabus, some questions will be assigned to them as home assignments at the end of every lesson. These assignments allow students to practise what they learn in class and will take up no more than 1.5 hours of each student's time per week. Students are encouraged to submit each assignment and our tutor will provide individualized advice to students on how they can improve. If necessary, concepts already explained in an earlier class will also be revisited to ensure that each student fully masters every topic in the examination syllabus.
