🌿✨ SJI Jr Easter Play 2026 ✨🌿

On 24 April 2026, our parent volunteers and students at SJI Junior presented their annual Easter play, sharing the moving story of the man who helped Jesus carry His cross.

It was truly heartening to witness the dedication and effort put in by both our parents and students. From rehearsals to the final performance, the commitment, teamwork, and love were evident in every moment.

A big thank you to our parents for your unwavering support and partnership. Your encouragement plays a vital role in shaping these rich learning experiences for our children.

💜 Together, we continue to nurture hearts, minds, and faith.

“So I have done, so you must do.”

Yesterday (Thu, 2 Apr 2026), the school leaders, teacher-leaders, student leaders & President of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of SJI Junior reenacted the washing of the feet which Jesus had done to his disciples by washing the feet of teacher, operation support staff, parent volunteer, and fellow Junior Josephians during the Maundy Thursday service. This act of servant-leadership, a hallmark of Lasallian schools, was witnessed by the school population, and a reminder of the importance of humility in our everyday lives, especially when we take up leadership positions.

Besides the Washing of Feet service in the morning, there was also Maundy Thursday Recess Activities in the school chapel organised by the Catholic Parent Volunteers (PVs). The Catholic PVs hoped to provide the opportunity to every SJI Junior boy, to experience their feet being washed and by doing so, sharing the love of Christ!

On the eve of Lunar New Year, our school came together to welcome the Year of the Horse in 2026 with a joyful and meaningful celebration. Students engaged in festive classroom activities and cultural crafts, while the highlight concert featured the blessing of oranges by Father Simon Tan, a captivating calligraphy showcase, an energetic Wushu performance, and a spectacular dragon and lion dance. The celebration fostered a strong sense of unity and shared well wishes for a prosperous year ahead.

On this blessed day, our chaplain, Father Simon Tan, celebrated the Start-of-the-School-Year Mass. Accompanied by the melodious voices of our parent volunteer choir, the Mass was a joyous occasion during which we sought God’s blessings and guidance for the year ahead.

During the inaugural ceremony, we formally welcomed our new staff and Primary One boys. In keeping with SJIJ’s tradition, our principal, Mr Eric, presented mementos to the new staff, while the Primary Four boys helped their Primary One buddies put on their ties, marking a warm and meaningful beginning to their school journey.

Teachers’ Day Celebration 2025

Dear Ex-Josephians,
Our school will be celebrating Teachers’ Day on Thursday, 4 September 2025 between 7.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
If you are planning to visit your former teachers, please note that the visiting period will be between 10.40 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. on that day. The General Office and staffroom will be closed at 12noon as all staff members will be leaving for Teachers’ Day Luncheon.
If you are unable to arrive in SJI Junior within the visiting period, you may choose to make an appointment with your former teachers via email and visit them on another day.
For safety and security reasons, visitors are advised to stay within the ground floor of the main school building, around the concourse area and outside the staffroom.
We seek your understanding in this matter.

This morning, two teams from the SJI Junior family celebrated 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 (𝐂𝐄𝐒) during the 8am Mass at Novena Church and the 9.30am Mass at Church of St Michael respectively. 𝐂𝐄𝐒 is an opportunity for home-parish-school collaboration as well as an annual reminder of why families, parishes and schools must collaborate in the integral formation of our children and youth.

Before the masses, our Josephians distributed 𝐂𝐄𝐒 Prayer Cards to the church-goers at both Novena Church and Church of St Michael. At Novena Church, our Josephians also served during the Mass as Altar boys, readers and offertory bearers. At Church of St Michael, the entire team of teachers, students and parents joined in the offertory procession.

May the presence of students in their Catholic school uniforms attending and serving at Mass remind us that the faith education of our children and youth is the joint responsibility of parents, schools and parishes!

BIG THANKS to all students, parents and family members who have joined us at either Novena Church or Church of St Michael this morning! ❤️
