"In my adventures to NLB Public Libraries, I see all sorts of compelling phenomena. From students choping seats with their bags while they scurry off for lunch, to masters of sleep who catch a snooze without being caught by librarians, whats not to love about Public Libraries in Singapore?
To top it all, I am utterly flummoxed at this daily occurrence, maybe one day I shall film it with a GoPro:
It is but a daily ritual- at 11am when the library doors open, old, senile, crooked and bent elderly folk rush into the library like a bespectacled pack of wolves, equipped with umbrellas and a literal 'old spice'. They pace towards the Newspapers section at breakneck speed, and there is noone to stop them, not I, not you, and not anyone. Well, it's just the little things which make us Singaporeans.
What's not to love about Public Libraries?"
