We are so proud of our amazing students, teachers, and parents for coming together during our recent Food from the Heart Donation Drive! Thanks to your generosity, we collected over 3700 food items that will go directly to families in need within our community.

From canned goods to daily essentials, every contribution made a difference—and reflected the true spirit of sincerity and charity that defines our school.

Speak Good English Movement (SGEM) 2026

上周，我校举办了 "讲正确英语运动"（SGEM）。活动期间，同学们通过一系列趣味互动游戏，深切地感受了用正确英语与朋友们交流的乐趣！🌟

Last week, our school organised a series of activities for the Speak Good English Movement (SGEM) 2026. Anchored on this year's theme, "Speak to Connect, Speak with Confidence", our students had the chance to put their English skills to the test in creative and engaging ways. They practised speaking clearly, expressing their thoughts confidently, and connecting with their friends through conversations. 🌟

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 This year's theme, "Our Power, Our Planet," resonated deeply during our April 20th, 2026 celebrations.
We were honored to host MJ Biogal for an inspiring talk on Marine Biodiversity, opening our eyes to the ocean's vital importance. 🐠🦀 Our Environmental Science students then shared crucial insights on Earth Day and the "Return Right" initiatives, showcasing their dedication to our planet. 🌱
Recess was all about harnessing energy! We had a blast with wind sleds and solar panels, learning firsthand how we can utilize renewable resources. ☀️💨
It was a day filled with learning, engagement, and a shared commitment to protecting our Earth. Let's remember that our collective power is key to safeguarding our planet.

国际友谊日 International Friendship Day 2026

这个星期，我校纪念了国际友谊日。

通过周会及休息时间活动，学生们了解了新加坡如何与其他东南亚国家建立友好的关系。他们也有机会学习怎么用东南亚国家的语言向朋友打招呼！

学生们还反思了在日常相处中，如何通过善意、尊重与包容来建立有意义的友谊的重要性，并努力成为关爱他人、积极付出的贡献者！

On Monday, HIPS commemorated International Friendship Day.

Through the morning assembly programme and recess activities, students learned how Singapore forges friendships in a complex world. The students also had opportunities to learn how to say ‘hello’ in the national language of our ASEAN friends.

They also reflected on the importance of building meaningful friendships through acts of kindness, respect, and inclusivity in their daily interactions, while striving to be caring contributors to those around them!

本周，学生们暂时放下手中的课本，投入到一场充满活力的体验式学习之旅中！🌟

学生们有机会将所学知识加以应用，联系生活经验，并在课堂之外探索新的想法。他们以满满的活力与热情投入每一项活动中。

每一次体验都激发了他们的好奇心，培养了创新和批判性思维，也增强了团队合作精神，更加深了他们对中华文化的认识与欣赏 。

这真是一个充满发现、成长与快乐学习的美好一周！

Our students stepped beyond the classroom this week and immersed themselves in a meaningful journey of learning! 🌟

It was a special week where they had opportunities to A-Apply their learning, C-Connect their experiences, and E-Explore new ideas beyond the classroom. They participated in every activity with energy and enthusiasm. Each experience sparked curiosity, built character, strengthened teamwork and deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Chinese culture.

It was truly a week of discovery, growth, and joyful learning!

On 9 March, HIPS commemorated our Leaders’ Day as we embarked on a new year. The occasion was marked by a strong sense of pride as we recognised the capabilities of our student leaders and celebrated their achievements.

At HIPS, we believe that true leadership is rooted in service and compassion. We are committed to nurturing adaptive learners who thrive in change, bilingual leaders who bridge cultures, and caring contributors who demonstrate warmth and kindness through their actions.

As torchbearers of our values, HIPS student leaders will continue to let their light shine, growing into exemplary and outstanding individuals to inspire others.

What an exciting day for our Primary 4 to 6 students at the HIPS Sports Carnival! From action-packed stations to lively team challenges, our HIPSters dove into an array of sporting activities with energy and enthusiasm. ⚽🏀🏃‍♀️

HIPS was filled with cheers, laughter, and encouragement as our HIPSters worked together, supported each other, and showed incredible sportsmanship. 💪🤝

其中一位初院生还是我们的校友呢！因此，这次到访对他而言更是意义非凡。看到我们的毕业生回到母校回馈社区、启发学弟学妹，真是让人倍感温馨。

Small Hearts, Big Lessons: A Visit from Heart2Hearts!

We were buzzing with excitement at Holy Innocents’ Primary School recently as we welcomed four inspiring students from Nanyang Junior College (NYJC) for their student-led outreach initiative, Heart2Hearts!

It was an extra special homecoming for one of the NYJCians, who is a proud HIPS alumnus! It’s always heartening to see our former students returning to give back to the community and inspire their younger juniors.

🩺 What is Heart2Hearts?

Organised by the MedConnect team from NYJC, this initiative is all about making heart health fun and accessible. Our students dived into a world of wellness through:

· 📖 Engaging Storytelling: Complex health concepts were turned into memorable tales.

· 🏃 Interactive Activities: Learning about the heart wasn't just sitting and listening—it was active and hands-on!

· 🥗 Healthy Choices: From nutrition to the importance of physical activity, our students learned exactly what it takes to keep their hearts pumping strong.

🌟 Inspiring the Next Generation
The goal of the session was simple yet powerful: to inspire our young ones to adopt healthy habits today that will last a lifetime.

By making cardiovascular health "cool" and easy to understand, the NYJC team has planted the seeds for a healthier future for our HIPS family.

A huge thank you to the NYJC MedConnect team for their passion and for being such wonderful role models!

NSG 2026

我校各个课外活动的领袖自豪地带领同学们宣誓，象征着对公平竞赛、尊重和全力以赴的坚定承诺。其他学生也以热情的加油声营造了浓厚的氛围，为我们的运动员呐喊助威。

随着比赛正式开始，我们祝愿所有学生运动员一切顺利，继续展现坚韧不拔、团队合作和体育精神。

This Monday, we kicked off the exciting season of NSG with the Opening Ceremony!

It reminded us of the true values of sport — resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We marked the beginning of an inspiring journey of competition and growth in our young HIPSters! With pride, our CCA Leaders led in signified a strong commitment to fair play, respect, and giving their utmost best. Followed by the Coaches’ Oath and the Spectators’ Creed, highlighting the shared responsibility in upholding the spirit of the games.

It did not end there, our energetic Peer Support Leaders lifted the atmosphere with an enthusiastic school cheer in support of our athletes.

As the games begin, we wish all our student-athletes all the best and “Let’s go out there and make it count!”
