Apart from just machines & weights, the gym also has qualified student fitness instructors and certified gym trainers to ensure the safety of all gym users. All SMU matriculated and exchange students, as well as staff and faculty are automatic members of the SMU Gymnasium and Fitness Centre. Good learning attitude - Certified student trainers are on duty at all times. Do approach them when in doubt.
2. Good Gym Etiquette - Please clean and sanitize all machines and benches after use with the alcohol sprays provided and return all equipment to its respective racks after use.
3. The SMU student pass is non-transferable and should not to be loaned to non-SMU personnel. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who do so.
4. A towel of at least 60cm by 30cm is to be used on all benches and machines. Sharing of towels is not allowed. Gym users without towels will be asked to purchase a SMU towel from the counter at $8 each. Proper exercise attire with sports shoes must be worn at all times.
