🧶 ✨ Crochet Interest Group Recess Activity

Our brand new E21CC Learning Space came alive during Term 1 Weeks 9 and 10 as Primary 2 to Primary 6 students gathered for the Crochet Interest Group recess sessions.

With crochet hooks and colourful yarn in hand, students spent part of their recess learning their very first stitches. What began as simple loops slowly turned into neat rows and plenty of proud smiles along the way! 😊

Beyond learning a new craft, students also enjoyed chatting, helping one another, and building new friendships as they crocheted side by side. It was wonderful to see creativity, patience, and teamwork come together in our new learning space.

Well done to our young crafters for showing that even the smallest stitches can create something special! 🧵✨

In commemoration of Total Defence Day, students participated in various recess activities at the school foyer, engaging in purposeful booth experiences and signing the TDD banner to affirm national resilience. They also visited the Police Booth to learn about civic responsibility, reinforcing the values of unity and preparedness essential for national defence. 🇸🇬

Earlier this week, Hougang Primary came alive with the sights and sounds of the Year of the Horse! 🐎🧧

The festivities began the week before with lively recess activities, and on the celebration day itself, our seniors were welcomed to enjoy a showcase of our students’ vibrant performances. Classrooms then buzzed with hands-on fun as students crafted beautiful Chinese New Year decorations, with thoughtfully planned activities in both the classrooms and the hall. Our little ones from MOE Kindergarten @ Hougang also joined in the celebration, adding even more joy and laughter to the day!

It was heartwarming to hear our seniors share how thankful they were for the opportunity to celebrate alongside our students and how impressed they were by the performances and the warm hospitality throughout the day.

A celebration full of joy, creativity, and community spirit, what a wonderful start to the Year of the Horse!

We were delighted to welcome LEO Academy Trust to Hougang Primary School on 10 February 2026!

From classroom lesson experiences in P4 and P5, to lively recess interactions and a guided tour of our learning spaces, it was a meaningful day of sharing, learning and connection. Our students forged new friendships, exchanged ideas, and truly experienced what it means to learn beyond borders.

🎓 P6 Graduation Day 2025 – Celebrate, Laugh & Remember

Our P6 cohort stepped into their final chapter at Hougang Primary with hearts full and spirits bright.

From energetic dance performances to fun photo-taking, from ice-cream treats to the laughter shared among friends, our students spent the morning celebrating what truly matters: their journey, their joy, and the friendships that carried them through the years.
